I think will get this one. 5G will drain your phone up. You need to charge twice a day for using 5G. Any comment? |

Joke of the year.
My maxis line on LtAP mini LTE4 have better gamming experience from my 300mbps fiber unfi. Time to switch to maxis fiber or LTE18 modem all the way. Still waiting for my 5G ax to come in. This post has been edited by OlgaC4: Jan 31 2023, 02:49 PM |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Apr 7 2023, 03:53 AM) Call them up and order over the phone or WhatsApp. Transfer money. GDex delivered the next day. If want fast, can also send Grab to collect. My house LTE signal super strong. Buy and place as backup or Load balancing . Ya radio is 4 chains.Wah, this one expensive. Radio is 4 chains right? How is it so far? I haven't even started using the wifi yet. Just playing with containers now. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Apr 11 2023, 04:24 PM) Got rid of the Deco x20s and got the hAP ax3. Just one unit for now. Will probably get another next month. Or maybe cAP ax. Best is to update then reset before using it. As usual, router is RB5009. Unifi 800. x20s replaced with the new ax3 and old hAP ac. Both APs are wired. Actually the Deco x20s have been working well and stable other than: • No way to specify a device to connect to a certain node. • No way to adjust the transmit power of 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz on the Decos. • 2.4Ghz are set to 40Mhz channel width. Cannot change this to 20Mhz. Notes: (on 7.9rc2) - Currently running 7.9rc2 because I wanted to see if it fixes the docker pull error. No, it doesn't. - Still have errors pulling newer containers from docker hub. (eg: Adguard Home) - Switch chip no hardware offloading yet. - ax3 wifi died after 3 days. So far happened once. (key handshake timeout for all devices) Needed to reboot. Unsure if this happens in 7.8. + Speeds around the same as x20. + Range better than the x20 = Can't test roaming yet since I only have one unit. + Capsman works but not compatible with each other. So, in mixed wireless and wifiwave2 environments, you'll need 2 controllers. - Wifiwave2 Capsman no forwarding yet, only local. - Wifi reg table only shows link speed. No longer shows width & chains. + Container support is great. Currently running Adguard Home and uptime-kuma on the ax3. + If plan to run containers, probably better to get ax3 or cAP ax instead of ax2 bcos of USB port. Speedtests below. Ookla Speedtest to Singtel. Unifi is 800/200. Have not tested wifi ax to LAN. ![]() iPhone 13 Pro 2x2 80Mhz 802.11ax (Link: 1200 Mbps) ![]() iPhone 6s 2x2 80Mhz 802.11ac (Link: 866 Mbps) ![]() iPhone 6 Plus 1x1 80Mhz 802.11ac (Link: 433 Mbps) ![]() Mac mini M1 2x2 80Mhz 802.11ax (Link: 866 Mbps) Seems a bit slow. ![]() 12400F MSI B660M Windows 11 PC with Intel AX201 2x2 80Mhz 802.11ax (Link: 866 Mbps) Dunno why PC upload speed is always this slow. QUOTE(cyberic @ Apr 13 2023, 12:00 PM) wifi will be almost the same but they are more to stable rather then fast. Free software upgrade and their hardware very hard to breakdown.Best part you can link all their hardware from 10years old product. This post has been edited by OlgaC4: Apr 13 2023, 12:13 PM |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Apr 17 2023, 10:28 AM) For the older devices using "wireless" package, stability is very good and plenty of features but speed sure slower than consumer stuff. Here, I believe, Mikrotik wrote their own wireless driver. The new "wifiwave2" package uses stock driver. Can consider as work-in-progress for Mikrotik. Speed is much better ootb. The hAP ax3, and presumably the ax2, is actually faster than Deco x20 a bit. Over heat? However, still very unstable. Wifi on the ax3 keeps dying on me. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...ost&p=107059525 |
