6.39rc45 breaks Simple Queue PCQ.
You may need to reset to recover your router. So don't upgrade to 6.39rc45 if you use PCQ.

In other news. 6.38.4 Current is out.

Oops, meant to edit but tertekan Reply.

RouterOS 6.38.5 and 6.39rc49 and 6.37.5 are out.

Looks like it's in response to CIA's ChimayRed tool/exploit.

What's new in 6.38.5 (2017-Mar-09 11:32):
!) www - fixed http server vulnerability;

rc49 also fixes the queue problem in rc45

Cisco also got some attention. Not surprisingly since they're so prevalent.

What kind of problem you have with the RB951G? Most common issue is the power supply itself. You can pair RB750Gr3 with wAP ac, or just hAP ac by itself. There is no need for that much storage anyway unless you have a lot of logs which is recommended to have that stored via external storage. Metarouter practically useless anyway, unstable & slowdown the performance.

i'm not too sure of it either, DHCP server seems to cease leasing addresses to the client devices after running for more than 1 week. No special configuration on that side and its all done through the wizard setting. The only way to get it back working is to restart the DHCP service or the router itself. unsure.gif

Could be due to the bug in 6.38.x. Anyway you can try not to bridge your LAN with wifi, let them have their own subnet and DHCP server.

Hi sifus, I'm looking for a Mikrotik router to replace my dead n56u which served me well for 3 years plus as main router. I very new to networking world but would love to try new thing smile.gif

Currently using maxis stock thomsan router, luckily didn't throw away. laugh.gif ISP Maxis Fiber Home 10Mbps.

My house is double-storey, router is placed on center upper floor, right beside 2 PCs with TM decoder, will connect to 2 PCs with LAN, no gaming, 1 DIY NAS as local file backup (mostly photo), PLEX server, and will setup FreeNas with OwnCloud near future, no torrenting, 4 mobile devices mainly swiping social networks and 1 TV kodi streaming.

Most of the time just 1 PC, 1 mobile device and 1 TV connected, peak hour at night all devices working hard, 2 devices streaming Full HD video, other just normally surfing net, NAS occasionally does the file transfer. All devices is connected mostly within 10m radius from router. FYI, total of 2.4 and 5Ghz Wifi surround my house is less than 8 and total of my neighbors not more than 10ppl so suspected neighbors' devices is around 15.

Is RB952Ui-5ac2nD able to meet my requirements? Since it's now the cheapest offering in Lelong, my budget is below RM400. Not sure whether Gigabit LAN is necessary coz rarely transfer big files or needing 2.4Ghz high power for high coverage. hmm.gif

Hope to get some advice from sifus here. Thanks! notworthy.gif

I'm facing some odd issues with my RB750Gr3 - have only had it for a week and it's linked up to my Time Fibre 500mbps line and my Asus AC68U 'access point'.

Simple config really - no QOS, no VLAN, fasttrack on, about 15 clients.

Streaming in Kodi/Exodus tends to stutter and scrubbing ahead or back in the video results in 10-20 secs of buffering.

When I put back my ER-X, all is good again. Hope someone's experienced this before and can share some tips. It's probably something I misconfigured but am kinda new to RouterOS so there.

Try turning off FastTrack and see if that helps. Mikrotik's FastTrack does weird things some times.

Are the problems occurring on wifi or cable?

Thanks, soonwai. I'll try turning off FastTrack and test my RB750GR3 again. But wouldn't this increase cpu utilisation on the device?

Am currently using my ER-X with both hwnat and ipsec offload enabled since I am not using QOS or DPI.

Nope, disabling fasttrack only helps a bit. The crazy buffering stutter in Kodi/Exodus is still there even though I'm using a premium real debrid account.

Going back to the er-x. Either sell off or keep the rb750gr3 as my backup/standby router.

Probably not the router's fault - it's probably due to me not wanting to troubleshoot and understand routerOS better. sweat.gif
