Eeeehhhhh .... don't know yet ... I think pod2g made a huge mistak by mentioning the "1 week" timeline. That is one of the main reason why the dev-team really really hate giving timelines because of the huge expectations that follows. It puts a lot of pressures on the dev-team as well so they "usually ... or almost always" never mention a timeline.

Apple has released iOS 5.1 beta 3 to developer ... soon it will be GM version and an official release .... pod2g better make it quick. Just got myself the 64GB iPhone 4s yesterday .... cannot live without Activator and SBSettings & BiteSMS ....

It's an Apple Message (SMS) replacement program that has a lot of features (the one I love most is the quick reply) where you can immediately reply to a message once you receive it (just like this forum) smile.gif

You are correct with regards to saving the SHSH. Only iFaith can save your 4.3.3 SHSH blobs now IF YOU DO NOT HAVE IT in the first place. Since you are jailbroken on 4.3.3 I would assume that Cydia may have stored your SHSH and you can use TinyUmbrella to get the SHSH from Cydia (the settings can be found in the Advance tab).

When you open Cydia, what SHSH is mentioned?

No, it's a replacement app for Message. It is not like Whatsapp.

We save our SHSH just in case we would like to downgrade our firmware version. If we save it, and if our son/daughter/wife/girlfriend "accidently upgrade our iPhone which would kill our jailbreak, we have the option/ability to downgrade. Without the SHSH, we would be really angry with the son/daughter/wife/girlfriend/boyfriend etc etc smile.gif

Ahhh ... yes, you do not need to be on iOS 5 for Cydia to be able to save the SHSH for you.

For your case your only option is iFaith.

I don't understand? If you save your SHSH. it gives you the ability to downgrade your firmware if ever you want to make that decision. It does not stop you from upgrading.

Sometimes a lot of Cydia apps are not compatible with the new iOS. For the case of iOS 5.0.1, a lot of apps are still not compatible and if you cannot live without it, then you have the option to downgrade.

4s don't have ... only Cellular data button is available. iOS 5.1 will bring this back for the 4s.

Save your 5.0.1 SHSH then because Apple will come out with 5.1 soon.

No, the SHSH is unique an can only be used with the unique iPhone so cannot use your friend's SHSH.

Use TinyUmbrella for the iOS5.0.1 SHSH and also try iFaith which will save the 5.0.1 SHSH together with the AP+Ticket (something new Apple implemented for 5.xx firmware)

Meeehhhhhh .... I would't put too much hope. That's why I still carry my iPhone 4 in my other pocket ...... it sucks without SBSettings but you have to live with it.

Install Remove BG (and the SBSettings toggle for it) and it will do the job for you. SBSettings also has the process toggle which you can press to see what app is running and you can individually close the App.

Are you using the latest redsn0w? If you are and you are still getting the error, then try going into extras and identify the firmware manually (you need to download the firmware file for the iPod touch 4G)

We need more info

1) What firmware are you on right now?
2) What is you modem firmware (baseband version)
3) Where did you buy the phone from? Maxis/Celcom/Digi? Is it a factory unlocked set?

Do not pay anything for an unlock. All jailbreaking and unlocking software are free. Anything else is a scam.

That's because you're giving nonsense advice. iPhone 4 cannot install the iPad baseband. The iPad baseband can only be installed on the 3Gs bearing in mind that installing the iPad baseband will most likely killed your notification, GPS and all sorts of trouble.
