You can only update to the latest firmware now , which is ios 5.0.1 . If you want to update to ios 4.3.3 , you need to have your 4.3.3 SHSH saved

I just jailbroken my iPhone 3Gs 2 days ago . iOS 5.0.1 . Did you point the ipsw to ops 5 ? And if still fail I would advice you to try with another pc

If you didn't mess with your host line before and your iTunes is the latest version , then Im pretty sure there wont be any error during your update.

This is impossible for iPhone 4 . Unless you have an iPhone 3GS old bootroom. Or maybe you are on iOS 4?

If you are unsure whether your iPhone 3GS is old or new bootroom , just run a tethered boot over your device and see if it starts up .

Why did u rejailbreak your iPhone ? I think this is what caused to the problem . You only need to jailbreak once . If you get white cydia icon , just run a tethered boot over your device .

Lol bro , iPhone no battery again ?? Last time I tried to boot tethered for him using my computer no problem . Anyone know what is the problem ?

I think it is better to re run redsnow because maybe the untethered jailbreak will be removed if you uninstall corona ?

Re ran redsnow 0.9.10b over my iPhone 3GS and it is now on untethered jailbreak. This is what I do :

1. Run redsnow in administrator mode.
2. Press Extra and point firmware to iOS 5.
3. Go back and press jailbreak.
4. Untick " Install Cydia"
5. Connect phone to PC , Shut down the phone and enter DFU mode
6. Done.

After that I uninstalled Corono from my Cydia. I turned off my phone, and my iPhone rebooted normally.

OMG !!! I think the untethered jailbreak is not perfect yet. Now my whatsapp and chaos rings started crashing ... Haiz .. Anyone experiencing the same problem ?

I'm not sure but my iPhone is crazy now ... Safari and apps keep crashing and returning to the home screen. Mail wont load . I think it is better for you all to just install Corona at the moment. Haiz regretted for trying out so early , now I need to restore it back to iOS 5.0.1 again ...

Hmm I think I'm going to straight jailbreak using redsnow 0.9.10b . I think the Corona and the Semi tether tweaks crashes with redsnow

Here is some advice to forumers here :

If you are already on iOS 5.0.1 tethered jailbreak with semi tethered tweaks installed. Install either Corona or re run redsnow . I'm not sure whether what is the problem . Need more feedbacks from forumers who had tried jailbreaking their iPhone

Guys , I know why my Apps and Safari crash already . It is because I pointed the ipsw to iOS 5 using redsnow 0.9.10b . For redsnow 0.9.10 b , you doesn't need to point the ipsw . It will detect the ipsw automatically for you . After it identified your ipsw , it will ask you what you wanted to do with this device. Previously when I pointed the ipsw to iOS 5, I , when the jailbreak finished, I get the " this jailbreak is tethered" thing . But this time , I never pointed the ipsw . And instead I get this thing :

So I think this jailbreak is perfectly stable if you follow the instructions correctly.

Maybe you can try with corona first , If fail then you can just restore to iOS 5.0.1 . No harm trying right ?
