All IT Hypermarket - IPC Mall accepts AMEX.
They use the Alliance EDC terminal which requires the 4-digit CID (on the front)

When I bought a laptop there around 2-3 months back, the cashier said AMEX is not accepted. I find it strange because their lowyat outlet accepts amex, using the alliance terminal.
Must be another case of the staff not knowing what to do..
What did you buy btw?

How sad, I was still able to pay via amex last month via phone (my maxis bill) but they told me I have to go to a centre

Reading the previous posts, it seems not all maxis centres accept amex either. what a shame.

same case, wanted to buy a laptop at ikano All IT. Was told they could give best price but only cash, and if I use CC (but not Amex!), they will have to charge 2-3% extra.

The item I purchased cost RM399.... Maybe you can try to buy another laptop

Maxis DO sell iPhone without plan. Bought it several times. You do need to have a Maxis number in order to purchase it.

No matter what merchant machine(CIMB/RHB/etc...) used to swipe Amex also still applicable to 5% cash rebate and 5x TP on weekends right?
If yes, Petronas Greenlane Penang accept Amex ( but only at counter, going to try reload TnG )

Hi, I saw can pay with AMEX through M2U for Telekom bill. But I yet to try it as I had fully utilised RM50 rebate this month. Will try it on 1st September. Maybe someone could try with Unifi bill as well.
