Question to all owners / agents selling You City here.

Possible to obtain bank loan? Anyone manages to buy or sell recently?
As got a registrar caveat on the whole entire land currently. Developer owes the government money? Run away from taxes maybe?

Caveat is on the developer land. Not the unit itself.
So not sure whether bank will still provide bank loan for units at You Residence or You Vista or not.

registrar caveat could be due to purchaser obtaining govt loan.

if developer is able to issue a letter to end financier to confirm that the registrar caveats are due to govt loan and it does not affect the EF's interest in the unit they are financing, there shouldn't be an issue for banks to release the loan.

in govt loan for units without strata title, they will enter registrar caveat on the master title.

however we can't be entirely sure if it's due to govt loan - need to check directly with developer.

Is not under LPPSA government loan.
Is commercial bank loan.

As mention, the caveat is on the developer land. Not on the unit itself. I wander what's the real story behind this.
And how subsale unit able to transact under this situation. Sure not able to obtain any new bank loan like this.

I guess need to use cash to buy since caveat on the developer land.
Subsale transaction also no idea how new buyer obtain bank loan to make the deal.

escanormatthews, after moving from one place to another. Would like to get your reason and view.

1. Why you prefer to rent rather than just buy and get your own house to stay?
Is it because renting is the logical thing to do compare to buying and owning the property?
Such as for example a unit at Icon City buying price 750-780k. But if you rent, is just 2200-2500 monthly rental fully furnish. So is that the reason better to just rent than to pay for an overprice project?

2. Moving from one place to another, you will prefer to rent a partially furnish unit or fully furnish unit?

3. Tenancy agreement will be how long? 1 year? and you will renew if you like the place?

4. Do you have regret not owning a good property maybe 10 years ago and price today already double up?
