After much review i heard and youtube videos i watch, i decided to upgrade mine from LRV5 to Batista70 3.7.7

Just to ask.

Before i flash through CWM recovery, i need to wipe, clear delvik right?

After that i just download titanium and restore apps + system data?

any other advise?

tq.

hey guys, just got an s2 awhile ago, like literally. was wondering if it was possible to get popular games / apps without buying or rooting? not too sure about rooting since i'm not a windows person and as far as i'm concerned, there's not many safe ways to root with a mac. would be glad if i could get swift replies, thanks!

Well, i might have found the culprit.

I found out that whenever I lost my connections suddenly just like u guys, the APN settings were actually all gone in setting >wireless and networks > mobile networks > Access Point Names

Once I restart it, the APN just reappear again and the connection is there again. Try to see if u guys are just the same like me.

just to reiterate, i never install anything that auto switch off the data connection or change the APN setting (apndroid / juice defender)

Thanks for the info!! If this is true, could it be our sgs2 somehow set to auto update APN settings on a regular basis? I'm Just simply guessing. lol.

Anyways, will look out for this symptom next time it happens.

Yes, possible but we won't discuss it (if you meant those illegal apps) here and you have to find it yourself. And no need rooting to just install apps. This is android not IOS. Don't get yourself confuse.

Why is everyone is asking this kind of "rooting" question here. Are they being advised by Apple guru????

CWM you need to access at booting stage. CWM Manager apps is installed by default with CF-Root kernel. Not available for other kernel except the dev included it in the ROM. If your Superuser app is working fine, then your busybox was installed correctly.
