i think its better for u to buy a slim bro...even after repair,the YLOD will come back

regarding Steelseries Siberia USB Soundcard .
- stated that it produces 7.1 virtual surround and usable on the ps3.
- anyone tried them? AFAIK these usb sound cards are meant for the mic to work on the ps3.
- will i get surround with this + any headphones?

why not get ps3 wireless headset? perfect solution after all (for ps3 gaming that is)

ok thanks... the ps3 headset is on the shortlist, coz i got myself a decent headphone for the PC recently

the ps3 headset requires latest firmware to run right? and the surround is exclusively for gaming mode?

while on a system update ps3 suddenly turn off n restart
inserted a game n it hangs until me pull out the cable
after tht another system update n it went fine

during system update, the system will restart by itself tho once update completed.

if everything is fine, then you should no worry. Only worry when hdd crashes too many times or blinking red light.

wht i meant was during the dloading n installing process it shut by itself n restart
then try a game n it hang n hv to pull out cable
but when i dload it again finished installing everything was okay

hey guys, did you guys ever experience sound came out from your ps 3? my sound is like the disc/lens reader part. i mean even there is no disc inside the ps3, there is a sound like ' ku rok...' it not that often but once a while. what does that mean? got problem ah?

and i put my ps3 flat on my table and find it quite hot at the back and the below the ps3. how to make it cooler instead of pumping air con in the room whole day? should i buy external fan for it?
