yup need to cucuk using pin...if after doing so still cannot charge, then your controller is spoil..

How long cucuk?? I cucuk like 30 secs it only turn off.controller not reset..

Btw.. i dunno wtf prob is this. I already tried change usb cable , controller , usb port .. seems like sometime it can charge sometime cannot..

Hurm i think this happen after the latest ps3 update ..before this no prob charging

Perhaps the controller is not authentic? got cases where the controller doesn't sync properly with the console as it turns the controller itself is the reason. It's my 2 cents only so I'm not accusing it's a fake one .

Have u tried swapping the cable or if u have other controller laying around try and charge it and see what happen.

Just curious, did you update directly from your PS3?

GUys..any one update the 4.20version have problem?? mine ps3 update error and come out the code "8002F1F9".. anyone know whta problem??

I used USB method, and no problem for me so far.

is direct method..how to restart the ps3 machine and download again??

1. In the XMB, select 'Settings'.
2. Select 'System Update'.

Make sure you connect your USB drive first. You can find how to update via USB on the Page 1 of this thread.

Its ori comtroller that comes with ps3 in the box.
I tried with not ori controller..same .. It works but sometimes not.

you can try charging using pc usb port.

If it doesn't work, then something wrong with the ds3 battery (faulty perhaps)

for me i prefer USB update method , using thumbdrive .. so i can check the sums of the firmware before apply it to my PS3

found out that instead of using proxy method above, there is another solution which is PSN Download Manager which require minimal setting by user. Click and Go!

question: anyone that is playing their ps3 under led tv samsung that has 400hz CMR such as the 6 series model etc es6220 or es6600? i would like to know whether is worth or not getting 400hz CMR led tv for ps3?

i cant really get plasma since my electricity bill is quite high right now and my room is quite crowded with few LCD monitor around...LED tv would be a better choice but then i would like to have a smooth exp in gaming...and i only can think abt those 400hz clear motion rate enables me to experience it...some advice please

Not advisable to use motion overdrive features for games, especially input senstive based games (this means, FPS, fighting, or driving games).
You will feel input lag (yes it is very noticeable) and everything is unnatural.

So even if you get the Series 6 models from Samsung, you'll just end up disabling it anyways.

oh ic...so is there anything else i need to take note in buying a new tv such as led or plasma? and which model that recommended to reduce the input lag perhaps? more opinion and advice is welcome and appreciate

now a days all lcd/led or plasma tv comes with a features call game mode, turn it on pretty much reduce the input lag...
