despite the price, the lens is still made in china. not sure about 12mm though.

because the actual price for this lens if u buy them individually is RM1400. that's why forumer thought they could sell it for higher price. truth is, they can never sell this lens close to the actual value as there really is no value with the lens.

by no value i mean that almost all people who bought the camera with dual kit lens will find no use for the panasonic 14mm (or 17mm for olympus and 16mm for nex) despite its small size, also, the performance barely differs with the zoom lens that possibly already cover it's range. so they decide to sell this to buy a more useful fast lenses such as the olympus 45mm f1.8 or the all time favorite panasonic 20mm f1.7 which has about the same price range with the actual price of the 14mm f2.5 if u buy it individually.

the thing is, many people taking the advantage of buying the dual lens kit in hoping they could sell the 14mm and keep the zoom lens as a mandatory backup lens. I can name 6 people (maybe more) who wants to sell the lens in the Garage Sales with no luck because they put a high price on it (even if its already half of the original price). Including me

I will sell my 14mm for a cheap price. If i feel regret of selling it, i just have to go back to the forum and find (and negotiate) a buyer who can sell me for cheap price. there willl be a lot of them selling it anyways. if there's none, put up a WTB thread somebody will PM u. Trust me.

well, no point of getting the 20mm as i already have a faster 1.4 25mm. 12mm olympus is too damn expensive. 45mm olympus i used to have but sold it off to buy this 25mm. so i guess i wont be getting any new lens anytime soon maybe a cheapo toylens just for kicks.

you can query with forumer iamsobloodysick and JAY1981. both of em have a camera shop and they're selling it for around RM1350. Not sure if you have to wait for the stock or they already have it in their shop. Other than that, there's always Shashinki.com

LVF2. can only be used on GX1 due to different port connector.

i bought for RM750 from forumer GengarPokemon. He has a shop and also a Panasonic distributor so he sells quite cheap la.

it's about the same quality of the main LCD display. it's 1.4million dots so it quite sharp. excellent when use outdoor in bright sunlight when can barely see the main lcd.

true. but u still be green with envy seeing someone's holding an OMD body even without the lens i would.
i would even offer the person my extra lens just to try it

The bag has a small side compartment which probably for the pancake lens. I used the bag once to store the kit lenses and my other stuff (wallet, handphone, etc) and carry the camera separately when going for outdoor shooting. the bag can fit the camera with zoom lens attached + pancake lens. nothing else.

that would be the Nokton 25mm f0.95 (50mm equivalent on full frame camera) rm3k (manual focus only), Panasonic 25mm f1.4 RM2.3k or Panasonic 20mm f1.7 (40mm equiv) rm1.3k. cheaper alternative is Toylens but this is more for the artsy bokeh effects. google it for more details. i can't think of anything else.

Ive also put my GX1 for sale for RM2000!!! hehe to be honest, to get an EP3 i want to see whats the buzz is all about

eyah i have this disease. i get bored easily and i like to try new things. initially it was the X100 -> Nex5n -> GX1 and now EP3. maybe OMD in the near future

ill be using the m43 system for a loooong time. let it be olympus or panasonic. the 25mm f1.4 is definitely a keeper, but the body will inevitably be changed hehe.

Added on March 16, 2012, 10:52 amto be honest, i love my nex5n. IMO the picture quality is wayy better than the m43. It does have a bigger sensor. the reason i changed is because nex does not have that many choice of native lens to use (I HATE ADAPTERS!!!) and its quite expensive. m43 system is doubt the best choice as u can use both olympus and panasonic lenses and quite a number of other brands too (slr magic, voightlander, etc).
