when we login into the free gift redemption login page, after keying in the details and submit, do we receive an email to confirm the info that we have submitted? i got directed back to the login page. and when key in again, invalid access... ? so did it get thru?
the RM3599 vs RM3299 is probably the 'freegifts' costs... the 32GB SD card/MMF3 is probably around the price delta? but yeah, the SRP would come down after sometime.
It should be. i also did not get any confirmation that it went through. let's just hope it is

If it was because of the freegifts then it's not free if we pay premium for it, just to get the camera early.
The body + kit lens is almost RM500 difference. I feel ripped off

i bought body only and the retail price is going to be around RM300 cheaper when its available in camera shop this coming weeks.
This is based on Shashinki website and they are not always the cheapest out there. We could possibly come across a cheaper set from those doing bulk

Maybe what retailers is doing is that they bought the set that comes with free adapter or sd card and keep the free items and sell the camera.
The only thing we can do now is...
ANYBODY WANTS TO BUY MY SANDISK EXTREME 32GB 45MB/s UHS-I Class 10 SDHC CARD + OLYMPUS OM CRAPPY MINIATURE CAMERA FOR RM500!!!!???

Looks like my greatest fears are coming true. We pre-order fellas paid a premium to just to get the cameras earlier than the general public but it would seem that shops r starting to sell the OMD and worse still, at way lower prices. *sigh*
I kinda have mixed feelings about this. part of me is extremely happy to be one of the earliest people to get to use this camera while others have to wait weeks to get to own theirs. maybe by the time the camera actually available in retail, i probably got over the fact that i bought it for a tad higher price and just be happy using it.
So to make it worth our trouble. Let's go to public places and show it off while we still can. Those envy eyes might just be enough to bury our sorrow

Had a quick play w the em-5... How come no one say anything about the ergonomic wan? The buttons too small and close together, the rear wheel so far away that my thumb cant reach and the strap lugs gets in the way
obviously u have a large manly hands and you will definitely benefit from the HLD-6 battery holder/grip which adds some body to it and two extra shutter buttons.
The battery holder will also add some comfort to hold the camera while ur arm is straight down, and just claw in to battery grip to hold it. currently i have to apply a bit of pressure just to hold it this way and adds wriststrap in case it slipped.
I have girly hands so no complains about the ergonomics here except i believe the nav buttons are just not clicky enough.
