QUOTE(lonelywolf90 @ Nov 14 2011, 02:10 PM) Owh I see, now I get the clearer picture, thanks for the explanation, sniper r u sure GX1 speed lose to Nikon 1? coz i tested Nikon V1 and J1, not reli fast compare to my E-P3Now I've narrowed down further.. I just viewed the Lumix GX1, seems to be amazing with the optional tilt-shift Live View Finder, fast auto-focus(lost to Nikon 1's speed though), and the power zoom! However, it will be released in December, gotta wait for it.. An alternative would be the Lumix G3. Then, I need to compare further with the Nikon D5100, I have great impressions of that camera. Later on, I will have to compare with the Canon EOS 600D & 60D too, looks awesome.. I've been using snapsort.com to compare, it helped me a lot. Please advice me Added on November 14, 2011, 7:58 pm QUOTE(lonelywolf90 @ Nov 14 2011, 12:52 PM) m43 price is almost equivalent to a DSLR because it's still new, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm still very new to this =/ got viewfinder or use live view is same sh*t nia. in d end is still depend ur eye to see it.Another problem of these devices over a DSLR is the lack of a viewfinder, I suppose an optical viewfinder is important for quality shots, is it? Imagine what happens if you try to take a photo under the sun where the LCD screen will be washed out by the ray. I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons because I'm deciding to buy a camera by December. I've been a fan of Nikon, but if the m43 suits me better, I suppose I'll have to go for the Lumix.. The Nikon D5100 seems to be perfect but people keep telling me to get a compact camera so that I wouldn't regret it, gosh.. one of the advantage of live view is u can shoot high or low angle. E-P3 is using OLED screen, thus it wun wash out under the sun ray Anyway EVIL = Mirrorless Camera Mirrorless Camera = Sony NEX, Samsung NX, Olympus Pen, Lumix Gh, GF and GX. Nikon 1 Sony NEX, Samsung NX = CMOS Sensor (Same with entry level dslr sensor) where only 1.5/1.6x crop factor Olympus, Panasonic = m4/3 where sensor are 2x crop factor Nikon 1 = half size of m4/3 sensor size and 2.7X crop factor So conclusion, EVIL = Sony NEX, Samsung NX, Olympus Pen, Lumix Gh, GF and GX. Nikon 1. Just each of them had difference sensor and crop factor and lens mount. dun get confuse This post has been edited by jloi: Nov 14 2011, 07:58 PM |

A swivel EVF would be cool, therefore the Nikon D5100 is great XD Ya, I know what EVIL cameras are, checked via wikipedia. I was only confused over EVIL n m43 in the past, now I get a clearer picture Can you tell me more about crop factor? The lesser the better? |

Crop factor can read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crop_factor Lol, touchscreen is going a must have for you when you make your next purchase of camera huh? Can you give me some feedback regarding touchscreens? I don't find it necessary but maybe you could convince me XD I still don't get much about crop factor eventhough I've read that article in wiki I suppose a 1.3-2.0 is safe since DSLRs have crop factors at that range =x |

I don't find it necessary but maybe you could convince me XD I still don't get much about crop factor eventhough I've read that article in wiki I suppose a 1.3-2.0 is safe since DSLRs have crop factors at that range =x base on my own understanding, crop factor is all refer to 35mm format. for eg dslr with 1.5x crop factor when mount on 18mm lens, it actually is 18mm X 1.5 = 27mm in 35mm format for m4/3 crop factor is 2 where the kit lens 14mm actually is 14 X 2 = 28mm in 35mm format for nikon 1 with 2.7x crop factor where 10mm kit lens = 27mm in 35mm format. compact camera with 1/2.2" sensor usually have 5.5x factor for dslr, they have their own lens for Full frame. Eg Nikon for DX (crop sensor) and FX (full frame = 35 mm eq) lens |

setting most shoot at 42mm f5.6 with iso 1000 (some with iso 400). Using default Natural mode. Noise reduction and filter off and that "keep warm" i off it too. I din remove the noise at all, what i did just adjust abit the level of photo. how i wish m43 got fast lens..waiting Pana X lens to release tat X) Added on November 16, 2011, 6:45 am QUOTE(lonelywolf90 @ Nov 15 2011, 09:33 AM) Thanks, will do it when I'm free just check the video. they was comparing auto focus in video LOL but for still frame GX1 still pawned Nikon 1.Hmm, speed of focus.
