To be honest, the important thing in Engineering is math. Ya, I know the passion about Mechanical thingy. But, you will be facing Calculus and Advance Calculus later on which more complicated than Add Maths. sweat.gif

Guys, me again. This might sounds rediculous but do we have to wash our clothes by our own self at uniten hostel? Is there any laundry room nearby? If so, how much does it cost? And do i have to buy washing powder by my own?

Laundry room in each block of apartment or certain blocks.
The machine "kaki telan" money. If lucky, pay less to spin. If not lucky, pay more to spin (RM2 if not mistaken)
Bring your own "sabun" since Uniten is not donating washing powder.

If not, do your laundry nearby UPTEN = foodcourt near Uniten Mosque

Cheers

Math is indeed important in every field of engineering. In fact, it can be seen as the 'language' for physics and certain other sciences. But, math is not everything either. What's more important is your understanding towards a subject.
We have a few maths courses here ie, Advanced Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Numerical Methods; and they're evenly spread out into a few semesters. In my opinion, all you gotta do is work hard on your basics, for these are used a lot in your other subjects as well. Go in deeper into the material when you're in a math class. Practice those areas which you're weak in. Ask friends and lecturers.

Other than that, its all a matter of your understanding and your hard-work. Math is important, but it is not the only single factor of being a good engineering student.

Cheers
