i was looking pretty itnerested in N55SF but i was told that a new model will be replace that. anyone has any clue on that?

There will always be new models replacing the current one laugh.gif
The M45, 55sf are still fairly new, so I doubt we'll see any newer models any time soon XD

Since you don't game, the Dell XPS 15 would be the better option. You can get the i7 variant with Full HD upgrade and 9-cell battery at RM4k brows.gif
XPS 15, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT540M@RM3699 [JBL], upgradeable to FullHD, backlit keyboard customizable

i went to several shops and they all told me the same thing that N55SF will be replaced soon so there are no stocks available sad.gif

well. isnt GT540M lower than GT555M? and are they dedicated or shared? If its shared then it wouldnt be a good choice because the RAM will be used out when running simulations. sad.gif

N43SL is 14" in size laugh.gif
For a budget of up to RM3k...
the laptops worth considering:

Asus N55Sf-S2043v [black], i5-2410M + Nvidia GT555m (2GB) + 1600x900@RM2799[Bang & Olufsen]; USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer
HP Dv6-6001TX, i7-2630QM + AMD HD6770@RM3499 [2.63kg]; Beats headphones *can get at RM3k without Beats

1. Preferred Brand - except (Dell, Asus, Acer)
2. Budget - up to RM5k
3. Usage - Business, working on very large Excel spreadsheets
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 15.6
5. Others - I5 Sandy Bridge, has good heat management, easy to get battery replacement

Need recommendations from Sifus. TQ

Dell XPS 15 or 15z would be the better picks because of the FullHD screen but it seems you don't want Dell laugh.gif
Same goes for Asus G series laugh.gif
The only option left is Sager? Configure Sager units here: http://www.illegear.com/
Sager NP5165, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT555M + (1920x1080)@RM3199, FreeDOS [CPU Options: i5-2410M - i7-2860QM]

i want to buy the laptop by this week...these are my choice
Asus A43Sv, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M(1GB)@RM2349[2.44kg]*recommended by sifus

Toshiba satellite L745 Intel Core i5 Processor 2410M (2.3GHz) + Nvidia GeForce GT525M 1GB 128Bit - Shared up to 2170MB + FREE HP D2000 Inkjet Printer + FREE 2nd Year Local Limited Warranty [RM 2299]*promotion

both usb 3.0

my questions..
a)which one better design(design means the heatsink fan+ keyboard+speaker+heating problem

b) which one is more reliable?  rclxms.gif

A43Sv don't have USB 3.0 hmm.gif

i "test drive" a43sv before. the speaker is really sakit hati. then i go for n43sl instead. really2 satisfied.
a43sv speaker quality is lower than average. if use it, use external speaker is recommended. other design is okay. heatsink is also ok.
