Hmmm... I dont have a zoom yet, but it does seem like something is happening to what the camera sees, there's a round halo around your person. And why is the TRIANGLE thing in the upper right corner?

I guess what u need to understand is that putting on the zoom is like putting a filter on your camera, it affects how light enters the thing, so the way your room is lit will have a different effect when u have the zoom on.

Try to make sure all the light sources are BEHIND the sensor and see.

i could say it more to installing additional lens to a camera. like any camera zoom lens, the distance between cameras lens and the zoom lens are constant.

so the probable solution:
1. lighting - avoid direct light to the kinect to prevent glare.
2. position of the camera - also to reduce glare
3. zoom lens are not completely attached to the kinect
4. dirty lens

bro there no direct light facing the sensor, i tried in all position, same result.. sometimes it can detect me, but this happen,

maybe the lens is allergic to semi naked guy, try put some cloth on see if it improves tongue.gif

anyway.. j/k tongue.gif

well... judging from the before and after video, the lens doesn't seems to increase to be wide angle, instead it created a some sort tunneled magnified vision, also limiting lights into it

seems like is a no go for my room, since most of the time lighting is inadequate. hmm.gif

Try again in this room, at night. I think the sunlight is throwing the sensor off (see the big patch of green on the right)
