its like locking you from releasing the next shutter? unlike OVF, when u press shutter, it continue to burst, it doesnt has the 'working in background' feeling. mmmm

Added on September 29, 2011, 1:26 am
err that wasnt a point to me at all, its still the expeed3 is the big hero behind the curtains....
*
But u still have to remember that it's only on a compact camera. The bionz on my tx10 performs very well too for such a cheapo camera.

What issue? All I know now is everybody can get sharp looking pictures from foreground to the background.

Awesome piece of equipment I must say.

zstan, in camera distortion correction only applies to "listed lens profile".... and normally it only listed own brand lenses.

Oops yeah forgotten about it. Thanks.

QUOTE(porkchop @ Oct 2 2011, 11:38 AM)
wanna ask the pro's here, a 30mm or 50mm for macro on APS-C which is a better choice?? asking for a friend-girl she want to get one macro lens for her NEX but the only 2 macro with SAM is 30 and 50, her use is to shoot jewellery I think...
*
Well that depends on how close you want go. For the 30mm, getting too close would be producing unwanted shadows over your products where as the 50mm MFD might not be good enough for jewelries. But then again, you can use raynox or crop the images.

I think the shadows will appear iiregardless of where the light comes from because the 30mm can go really close and you will most probably be shooting at about 1-2cm away from the jewellry to get enough magnification. Unless you plan to shoot further and crop, that works as well, but u may have a hard time finding a good angle.

Iers suggestion with the kit lens sounds good. After all, you can't possibly be shooting jewellry with a big aperture, the depth of field will be too thin.

Yuhi, off camera flash for NEX seems quite complicated if I'm not mistaken. hmm.gif

hmm sounds logicall...but off camera flash not an option lo sad.gif
anyway i was discussing with a fren, he said why not try getting a +4 close up filter for the kit lens, it should help....
*
Don't. Use raynox better if can afford. At least you still can maintain the IQ.

QUOTE(NutZ748 @ Oct 2 2011, 03:14 PM)
personally thinks the 16-50 ssm is kinda soft and less contrasty(maybe they shot without ND filter?)...and the SSS doesnt really works well *in that video*
-no offence-

Added on October 2, 2011, 3:17 pm
yeah closeup filter works for kitlens...
but my experience...closeup filters don't works on my 55-200 SAM...
it become super soft at 90mm...and further focal length is not useable at all...
my closeup filter is Hoya closeup +5
*
No comment about the lens. Need to play around with it first. But I don't think the contrast will be as good as the baby Zeiss

QUOTE(soket @ Oct 2 2011, 03:52 PM)
can we conclude tat image quality at high iso for a77 will get as good as the nex 5n when the final firmware is out??
*
If you are not pixel peeing, or staring at a 7 ft picture up to your nose, then yes the IQ should be the same if not better.

Yeah, I think I will call Uncle Chin tomorrow......I do prefer the 16-50 kit, but if either the body or the kit can get before 8 Oct, I will just grab it as I be away from Malaysia for couple of months after this Sat sad.gif
Worse case if both unavailable by this week, I'm considering grabing the a77 at Hong kong airport during my 1 hr transit.....
Stress!!! - I offload my Canon too soon....... tongue.gif
Too bad I be away from Malaysia for couple of months after this coming weekend sad.gif So was rushing to get the unit before i leave
*

The new iphone is using Sony's sensor right. They even incorparated stabilization. Should be better than most P & S in the market now.
