Just back from camp. Had the chance to try Canon 60D for 3 days. Almost died using the live view. totally cannot use one. And i don't understand why they have to lock the wheel for mode selections. To prevent accidental changes? Quite a hassle. I also can't figure how to change the AF points quickly. I had to press one button, scroll to the AF point mode, and then only select the AF points. Is there any other way?
And it's not helping at all when my friend only knows how to use P mode... |

QUOTE(ieR @ Sep 19 2011, 12:53 PM) isnt that button annoying? i find it 'slow' when u wan to change af points.... no wonder all my canon friend Love Recomposition so much, later blame the lens not good if not sharp (50F1.4) then they say me using 50F1.4 with selective af point (just pressing the Dpad) picture turn out too sharp and too accurate... Yeah very annoying. That's why I just select centre AF point and recompose Some pics not sharp also. But the 450D also not that ma fan leh. Just need to press one button and scroll around the points can d. Dunno le need ask canon 60D user. this problem happens to A55 too, sadly, that we require to press the mid button to select af point Added on September 19, 2011, 12:55 pm ? A550? typo? i tot just press Dpad, u straight select your AF points? i know this issue same as A55/33/35, where u need to press a button to access the point selection menu, AFAIK, the center button of Dpad is much easier and faster to press then the canon button. A55 no choice la the body so small.. A300 at least still got a few dedicated buttons... This post has been edited by zstan: Sep 19 2011, 04:50 PM |

QUOTE(electron @ Sep 20 2011, 06:28 PM) any comments between the tammy 1750 F2.8 and the sigma 17-70 F2.8-4? Go for tamron. The sigma's aperture range is laughable. The f2.8 only lasts until about 20mm only.the sigma range's is more flexible, while tammy is constant aperture considering between these 2 |

Build quality wise both are almost the same la...Added on September 20, 2011, 9:50 pm any comment about the built quality of the two? read cases of back focusing with the tammy, but if i buy this month, i should be able to get the 2+2 year warranty Your call. |

QUOTE(lwliam @ Sep 21 2011, 07:16 PM) It's because the Nex7 isn't officially launched yet? Furthermore, Nex7 was only announced a couple of weeks back. That you said was as of 5th August. So your argument is invalid. Yes but it is already announced and previewed, isn't it? Nobody has touched the V1 and J1 one yet. Yes if they know its as of 5th August, i mean why bother to put it in then? |

I still think their new mirrorless will sell because:
1. It's a Nikon 2. It's a Nikon 3. It's a Nikon |

QUOTE(yuhi @ Sep 21 2011, 09:37 PM) Personally I think it would fail so bad... Ppl already laugh at the fact that we attach alpha lenses to the nex. At least we know that with the 1.5 crop factor from the APS-C, our lens are still usable. What lens could you attach to the nikon without it becoming a telescope? Personally i think it will sell due to the Nikon brand... and girl's with deep pockets will dig the red and pink version...but still, people say that its good because you get a tele without actually buying a tele lens. Its good for birding. Its good because its a nikon... Personally I think that if it sells, it would probably be as a result of some sublime marketing gimmick by the marketing personnel at nikon. I would gladly trade the size of the pentax Q and the Nikon 1 and even the m4/3 for the ultimate IQ of the Nex7 (probably the M9 if I could get my hands on it, lol...) |
