The way I see it, I won't let go of my A700.

A700: 24-70Z
A(FF): 17-35

or

A700: 17-35
A(FF): 85 1.4

isnt that button annoying? i find it 'slow' when u wan to change af points.... no wonder all my canon friend Love Recomposition so much, later blame the lens not good if not sharp (50F1.4) then they say me using 50F1.4 with selective af point (just pressing the Dpad) picture turn out too sharp and too accurate...

this problem happens to A55 too, sadly, that we require to press the mid button to select af point i hope A65 doesnt has this... since it has more button then A55/33/35...

? A550? typo?  i tot just press Dpad, u straight select your AF points? i know this issue same as A55/33/35, where u need to press a button to access the point selection menu, AFAIK, the center button of Dpad is much easier and faster to press then the canon button.

any comments between the tammy 1750 F2.8 and the sigma 17-70 F2.8-4?
the sigma range's is more flexible, while tammy is constant aperture
considering between these 2

true, seldom hear bout ppl using sigma 17-70 but read some pretty good feedback at dyxum

any comment about the built quality of the two?
read cases of back focusing with the tammy, but if i buy this month, i should be able to get the 2+2 year warranty

zstan: The Sony 50mm F1.8 DT SAM doesn't have brightline bokeh. It has cat's eye bokeh though.

It's because the Nex7 isn't officially launched yet? Furthermore, Nex7 was only announced a couple of weeks back. That you said was as of 5th August. So your argument is invalid.

Personally I think it would fail so bad... Ppl already laugh at the fact that we attach alpha lenses to the nex. At least we know that with the 1.5 crop factor from the APS-C, our lens are still usable. What lens could you attach to the nikon without it becoming a telescope?

but still, people say that its good because you get a tele without actually buying a tele lens. Its good for birding. Its good because its a nikon...

Personally I think that if it sells, it would probably be as a result of  some sublime marketing gimmick by the marketing personnel at nikon.
I would gladly trade the size of the pentax Q and the Nikon 1 and even the m4/3 for the ultimate IQ of the Nex7 (probably the M9 if I could get my hands on it, lol...)

but i think...a girl will not buy the look of that camera because there are nicer looking one in the market...like NEX...and those m4/3
