Orrrrr, it might not be Saturn.... that it might be that dude is in a galaxy far far away where the planet is on a binary system orbiting that Saturn-like planet, where this binary system is orbiting a Sun-like star in the centre of THAT solar-system. That way, a binary system could orbit around each other at a closer proximity - as in the image! Imagination tongue.gif lol

And it could be recorded on some alien organic substrate which has quite a narrow dynamic hence the total dark foreground, losing all details there.

emm,, better than tamron 18270 pzd ? biggrin.gif
*
Put it this way, (most of the time, not always) the shorter the focal length from its widest point to the narrowest point, the better the image quality is from that particular lens. So, an 18-55 kit lens is actually better than the 18-70, and so on.

Wouldn't your Tammy 18-270 cover enough range as a travel lens?

edit: sorry, just noticed that it wasn't you who asked the question in the 1st place tongue.gif

Quite the same for me.

My usual travel arsenal (not the day trip kind) would be - 17-35 f/2.8-4, 24-70 f/2.8 Z, 70-210 f/4, 50 f/1.7, F58 (and in future trips, the 85 f/1.4 G as well)

Uzary, try ask for a quotation from shops that repairs cameras instead. They could be cheaper. I have a blog post of the places to go to in KL somewhere in my blog, try dig around in it, it's somewhere in there.

Good luck bro.

Jimlim, that 'moving' thing is the shutter. Mirror is just one part of the moving mechanism in a dslr/SLR. The shutter is the one that controls fast your shutter speed is. So now without the *mirror, which is the limiting factor for high frame rate, there is one less moving part. Where at the same time removes away the mirror flip delay so now enabling the a77 to be the cheapest dslr in the market to achieve 12fps - with its 'frame rate' competitors that have a 5 digit price tag to play catch up.

*Edit: should be replaced with 'fully reflective mirror'

The word translucent is a very misleading word that Sony use.

adjective /transˈlo͞osnt/  /tranz-/

(of a substance) Allowing light, but not detailed images, to pass through; semitransparent

it should be properly known as transparent instead

its not transparent as it requires 30% image to be reflected, remember? allows light passing though while remaining some on the surface tongue.gif (and its actually, transmitting +/-70% and reflecting +/-30%, which technically makes it a beam splitter instead - but we don't go calling it a dSLBS now do we? LOL)

words is just a dictionary game. as long it let u push your skill to make wonderful photo, its good enough.... i always smile when i think of this quote

i see. one more question, i heard SAR admin used to mentioned Nex7 do not have "mirror" so the there will not be 30% light loss, he mentioned that is the reason high hope the IQ might better than a77. What is actual different orange77 and orange7 about the confuse mirror? This is also link to the nex adapter A Mau right which contain a translutcent mirror inside hmm.gif ?

that is true, over internet from many reviewer (imaging companies) and event canikon claim that the term is not exist and not true and mis lead consumer. seriously, i not really those term, as long as have great camera with reasonable price  thumbup.gif

but how the shutter mechanism work, fliping? or is a plat block the light in insane fast open -close open close? if true then it is like the laser shutter which in my working area  laugh.gif just not tht fast...

Hahahahahhahahaha, zstan is a dude, bro!!! You just made a move on a dude...

I'll leave the a77 vs n7 argument to some other person. Early tip, one is translucent, another is mirrorless. Go figure. Real life example, a55 vs nex5.

The shutter is using 2 curtain movement, 1st curtain comes downward revealing the sensor to light and follows by the 2nd curtain shutting up the lightpath completing the light exposure cycle. The faster the shutter speed, the smaller the gap between each curtain movement.

Laser shutters doesn't work in the same way. There are 2 ways to trigger a laser output from the aperture. One is using electro-optics (Q-switched), another is via acousto-optic substrate (sound). The aperture on laser outputs are usually slabs of crystals that have a known resonance frequency. By generating a matching sound wave aka frequency, the molecules inside the crystal will align in a way that allows light to pass through. By cutting of that sound wave, light will not pass. By controlling electrical and/or acoustic pulses are much more immediate than controlling mechanical shutters, where timing in laser output is very very critical. Laser shutters can go lower and below of 1/100,000 sec if not faster. Camera shutters are nothing compared to that.

I just saw, but seller is with 0 post count and selling things SOOO cheap. Sounds too good to be true. That by itself is enough to make me raise a red flag d. Although that deal does seem really really sweet.
