What I understand is, USB OTG is a function under Android 4.11 and above. I believe the version of GS3 you tried is version 4.01 or below. Mine is already 4.11 (soon to be 4.22) but I don't have a USB OTG cable to test it so I'm currently using the audio jack output.

just like some recommendation for fiio amp / dac to be used with samsung note 2 and sennheiser mx980

am thinking about e07k or e18.
prefer more on clarity and richer sound. not so much on bass

i would recommend E12, or if u don't mind, E12DIY

Anyway, just wanna ask, can i get any otg cable to replace the original given to connect to my phone? As sony tends to place the micro usb slot at the side, so its to short to stack those two. Need a bit longer cable.

Heard from E1 - AKG that the E10 was discontinued.
I wonder what's wrong with that and why did they discontinue them.
After deciding to get one and been told that they are discontinued, I couldn't find an equivalent device that are around the same price (+- RM 100).

Seems like I'll need to save up and get an ODAC+O2 if that's the case.
Or if there are any E10 successor that anyone know of?

E10 is really great. Tiny size, cheap price, good perormance!!!

Here's my take on it. E10 makes sense when it was almost RM100 cheaper than E07K. With the current price, might as well just buy E07K.

You're right but I don't need the battery powered one which probably was one of the main reason making the E07K a tad bit more expensive.
I'm going to get a better one soon anyway.
Might as well go with something that's more value oriented for the moment, only if it's available.

Still don't make good sense why to discontinue the E10.
It was arguably the most popular Fiio product at least in the PC community.

Good point. Well, just try to check out E09K and UD110 before deciding on ODAC + O2. They're arguably better.

Will E07K works with SGN2 on OTG?

EDIT: If yes, would there be any different in quality compared to regular jack port connection?

I wonder why that product just doesn't appeal to me.

UD110 is interesting!

I've already ordered an O2 Amp, will get a DAC later on down the road.
Might consider UD110 if I can read a comprehensive review.
