Anyone here have AKG K550? Which Amp/Dac best for K550?
My rig is laptop. Can I use amp without dac on laptop? Like : laptop>Amp>headphone....
But I saw some review said Dac can reduce noise.
I did not have AKG K550 yet,so I cant test it on my laptop to know it have noise or not.
I am going to call my friend from China to get K550+Amp/Dac when he come to Malaysia next month.

i dont have a k550 but i do have a hd650, no noise from my laptop but i am using fiio e12 to drive it, the effect is amazing. the best about e12 is that not only it is portable but also can be used while charging

Laptop > FiiO L12 > FiiO E17 > FiiO E09K > AKG K550

wta, is fio e6 'sufficient'/compatible to use with SGS note 2 on FLAC file format?

The FiiO E6 is just an amp without DAC. What sort of improvement are you looking for when you say "sufficient"? What headphones are you driving?

more clarity, smoother bass. juz using earphone FAD Adigio II.
sufficient as in able to support FLAC file.

file type is immaterial here as it is already analog from the headphones output of the note 2. with the exception of higher volume, with any amp for that matter will not give you better clarity and smoother bass.

Hopefully he will post his review on X3 soon after getting his hand on it

This 1 still need soldering skill and tools... but read this on head-fi and u voted for this colour also. They should have put silver + red vol knob then it will be awesome
