I spoke to SC, but they don't do warranty claim on saturday, so have to visit them again on a normal day. damn... no free time to do unless wait until school holiday.

But the SC told me it is basically because during production, the glue at the hose to the tank not yet dry completely and they continue on with the rest of the production. So when you fill full tank, then some / little bit of the petrol can back flow and go into cabin.

Indeed, today I didn't fill full tank, so the petrol doesn't touches the hose connecting the tank, and therefore no more fumes inside cabin.

This is what sort of workmanship? Did I took hefty loan to pay someone to ensure the glue didn't dry?

It was after all a rushed production to coincide in time with the Exora launch, wasn't it...?

I read somewhere that they don't really care about production QC and instructed their SC network to prepare for warranty claims when customers bring in cars for service instead...

Doesn't make sense. No need to apply glue. Glue will disolve when in contact with petrol. I think they didn't install it properly (middle of the month, salary all gone). No mood to work. Maybe all the good one were made during early weeks of the month laugh.gif

That' why I go to SC during 1st. week of the month laugh.gif

There are different types of glue or adhesive. Don't just think glue does not go well with petrol. The term glue here is only a general word to indicate they use adhesive to stick two parts together.

I have a friend who is the Regional Manager for a US company, and they use all types of methods and materials (including glue) to help seal leaking petroleum pipelines throughout SEA.

bising at P2 again...

alza drivers will die sooner or later, regardless whether or not if petrol fumes goes into cabin... alza is so terrible to drive that once you step into that car, you're already stressed up... coz you can hear rattling sounds here and there... even shorter life if you bang that car ever slightly, that car can go up in flames... shakehead.gif shakehead.gif shakehead.gif shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

100% Agreed with ur experience in comparing Alza with other car ( TV, HC... etc...) The cabin space is the best... Children feel comfortable and enjoy the long distance trips... Suspension feel good, at least. FC is fine and the most important part is Alza affordable for me and enjoy paying the monthly installment. Worth the money can buy for me... biggrin.gif

yes..agree...alza has large cabin space..but it is spoiled by the serious and silly problem of petrol fumes filteration...you know how the people feel when they sit into your car and smell the petrol fumes during the ride? even my honda built on year 2000 also don't have this kind of silly problem..at the current technologies, this kind of problem shouldn't happen on the car..I can't believe PERODUA still using very very old technologies to build car.............my god~!

Does changing to different brand brake pad void the warranty? With my previous proton car, I only change to the different model (allowed by proton). Don't want the car suddenly got problem, then the warranty all gone.
