well coz the service centre seems to have even advanced bios(bios 215 in this case, while website only provide 213 just now only). So maybe they ady have the bios that can fix this? but i don really hope much from them

The work is too much. they would just give us a new unit with i7 i guess. but surely we need to add on money or what. UNLESS asus is going to compensate us for this gpu problem xD(i must be dreaming xD)

i know of this method but it changes nvidia and another (i forgot what software) to chinese.. i wan to maintain my entire system in english and just be able to read chinese without any problems.. any other suggestion other than this??

actually the i7-2670QM was just released few weeks ago. And when N45SF i7-2630QM or the i5 was release the BIOS does not support the new i7-2670QM till now

err i dunno how mine works, but if i recall correctly, i switch to chinese prc first, then later on i switch back to english. Now my locale is english, but i'm reading chinese and all that perfectly, nvidia and other software all in english. And i have chinese keyboard also. Can't remember what i did. But i remember is change to chinese prc first then change back to english

well from what i did, i never go for very high end card. Firstly i'm not super rich so obviously i cannot chase technology. So normally i would go for midrange or near high end card. Coz the price between midrange and high end is quite a lot. But if u can afford it, u can go for high end one for more future proof of course. Well just my individual opinion xD

and the technology is very fast these days. U get a high end card, in a few months time they will have a totally new series with better technology graphic card and such.

well thats what i know to see chinese words. Coz if locale is chinese prc those programme supports multi language will use chinese as default ady. And u can always use jack sparrow 7 ultimate what xD. And the key sticker is stick under your laptop, so u can always keep ur ori key

Just upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate la. Easier for you too. It doesn't make a difference. Just preference of having a legit one is all.

cpu u can go for high end for more future proof, cpu can last longer compared to gpu. But new ivy bridge and bulldozer are coming out though gpu unless u are rich enough to keep up, if not really cannot@@. and gpu nowadays not cheap. Now like last time a few years back u can get a high end card under 600-700. Now any good one can easily over 1k
