QUOTE(htpkevin @ Sep 4 2011, 10:09 PM) GT540M and GT555M there are quite some gap in between. The performance difference is about 30%. And seeing ur budget, u could easily get N55SF with i7. But there is one catch here, N55SF with i7 now comes with max resolution of 1366x768 only. Dear Sifu Kevin, 30% gap is a big different... hmmm... But I wonder either this model could coup with BF3 graphic at high performace.. I'm such a hardcore gamer and seeking new laptop which is compatible to play BF3... Thanks kevin for your help.. If there's any other good info please post okay.. Dear Sifu Trance... Have you tried "World in Conflict" and Battle Field2"? How's ur comment? Is there any other heavy game that u have tested? Please tell if u are free...

QUOTE(htpkevin @ Sep 4 2011, 10:28 PM) and err BF3 haven't official release yet, so we can't really tell much also. But as for mid range gpu, this GT555m can consider one of the top among the mid range gpu ady. If for high end, like GTX460m, GTX560m those type the price gap is real big Dear Sifu Kevin, Yeah, BF3 in not officially out yet.. And that's why I'm really concern on getting a new laptop which is really compatible to play it.. Or maybe I will be waiting for the game to come out first and get some reviews from LYN users.. .. Cause I'm still using my Vio 1.66 Duo Core with Nvidia 7400 Go since i last bought at 2006... It cost me about RM 6k to get high end performance that time.. Dear Sifu Alex, Thanks with the great info,.. My nephew here got an Asus i5-480M 2.66Ghz, Radeon HD 6470.. While playing "World in conflict" the graphic is really nice but the FPS is untold. Hardly to move the cursor and laggy... I'm not sure HD Radeon 6470M is in which class compare to Nvidia?... Please help... very supportive.. Dear all, Thanks with the great info given.. Ya all very supportive...

QUOTE(htpkevin @ Sep 4 2011, 10:58 PM) well from what i did, i never go for very high end card. Firstly i'm not super rich so obviously i cannot chase technology. So normally i would go for midrange or near high end card. Coz the price between midrange and high end is quite a lot. But if u can afford it, u can go for high end one for more future proof of course. Well just my individual opinion xD and the technology is very fast these days. U get a high end card, in a few months time they will have a totally new series with better technology graphic card and such. Dang .. Lol.. Chasing technology is so tired.. That's the silly reason when I bought my vio last time.. Hahaha.. .. Thought it could last for five years if bought high end GPU..I'm definitely wrong.. LOL... And yes because lack of information by that time.. Thanks Kevin.. Added on September 4, 2011, 11:10 pmQUOTE(lee_what2004 @ Sep 4 2011, 10:59 PM) IC.. Thanks.. ... It's still new GPU i think.. Of course my Nvidia 7400 Go cant compare to it.. This post has been edited by mkhairie: Sep 4 2011, 11:10 PM

Thanks guys.. And one more thing, is it easier WTS laptop in this forum? Let say if I use it just for a few month?...

QUOTE(htpkevin @ Sep 4 2011, 11:26 PM) if its new model and just used a few months i think its easy. But if like is ur old laptop u used it for many many years ady, ppl would normally prefer to get something newer coz faster and more future proof. But nothing is definite, have to try xD Yea. It will definitely happen.. My old laptop is like to be part of my antique items... LOL.. Can't even play Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.. Sigh.. Haha..
