QUOTE(lakost @ Sep 15 2011, 12:47 AM) ah i see.what kind of noise? Something like a buzz sound when you do something when you are idle everything is OK. I have updated the audio driver and the problem is solved and also I have Asus SonicMaster but I am not sure it was bundled with the new driver or it was installed with the last one.

Who was it that had problems with computer when they tried removing bloatwares manually??? I found this today: http://pcdecrapifier.com/home There's a list of things it removes, I see some familiar names. Anyone has any opinions on it? I don't dare do clean format because I'm not too good with those kind of things. I plan to remove a majority of the bloatwares, not all of them. (I intend to keep things that are specific for the laptop i.e. MusicOn) I heard removing some specific bloatwares can cause computer problems. QUOTE(lakost @ Sep 15 2011, 06:17 AM) Phew....and here I was thinking to remove the games FIRST because I assumed it would be safe.... If total amount of bloatware is under 2GB then I think I'll leave it alone, but if almost 5GB like Simon...ahh that's another story. This post has been edited by Asusta: Sep 15 2011, 01:28 AM

QUOTE(lakost @ Sep 15 2011, 06:30 AM) better clean format.activate ur win7 using the ori key. just dun delete the recovery partition Yeah...the thing is this is my first laptop ever and WILL be the first time I do anything like this (formatting) if I do decide to do it. I've been following the thread and there's always ppl saying "missing this and missing that" after following Simon's instructions LOL! Is it really quite straightforward to follow and I won't be prompted with any unwanted surprises along the way? I should be getting my machine either today or tomorrow and then I'll see how "bloated" it is.
