I never stress the lappy, running on CM W1

the problem is related
i seen users at the N53S forum suffering from screen flickering too.....due to RAM incompability. Some RAM just does not match with other brand.

1 Kingston 1 Samsung. Both same frequency, same timing, same voltages, same clock
Gonna try remove 1 RAM.
BTW, no flickers if I did not using Nvidia. hmm

so far i know Kingston matches with Corsair, Hynix, Hyundai and Elpida. Samsung not sure

just out of curiousity, does the colour of the stick/circuit board look the same for both RAM???

I experience it in power saving mode and I do not know what is it probably setting the brightness with what is in it because when I do not change the anything there is no screen flicker.

Can you open the Intel HD Control Panel, go to the Power, change the option to battery, untick the "Display Power Saving Technology" ?

Hey guys, i was originally planning to buy a asus n53...
but now i see this is about to get released in October, i think i might wait!
Can someone tell me what the battery life is like, if you set it on power save while using Microsoft word or excel on 70% brightness. I want to know if i can last at least 3 hour long school day with the n55! if it does, i will diffidently wait for this awesome machine! biggrin.gif

U want to wait?its already out ma.
Yes it can easily reach 3hrs if u turn of ODD,Wifi and Bluetooth.
But if u want more battery life, reduced the screen brightness to 50% or less

How much battery life can you squeeze out of it at 50% brightness and power save mode?

I will wait for the USA version, will be cheaper. Right now asus n53 go for $900.... i don't want to waste another $400, when i can wait for a month to get it at price range of $1k.

I never set my brigtness to 50% on battery.I always set it to 20-40%.That way i can get almost 4hrs with Wifi ON in airconditioned library.
Mind you im using N55 i7.If u use i5 version, i believe u can squeeze more time from the battery

I lol'd.  55 celsius on CPU while gaming? No way. My reaches 88 celsius on CPU and 80 celsius on GPU while gaming. And its physically impossible to get 55 on CPU while on GPU is 80 because of cooling system construction.

I'm getting this temperature also... N55Sf i5

Added on September 12, 2011, 2:30 pmWhile playing music on the background and multitasking (browsing, exploring folder), does anyone notice there is an interruption to the sound? I've often heard a "fast pause, like a short buzz sound" when I'm opening new tab or exploring some folder and going back. Is this normal? It's kinda irritating doh, as the sound can be heard clearly.

I dont experience this.
You wont say the sound buzzing is irritating until you get the screen flick problem

Added on September 12, 2011, 2:44 pmDamn, I think Asus already start to have the 2670QM now. I should buy it 1 weeks later...

I have installed the latest audio driver and now it is OK but the driver is not available on ASUS Website.
