If I deside to upgrade to 7200RPM will there be any noticable increasement
*
ya it is better than 5400RPM but it more power consuming and it cause more heat.

Guys, what are your comments on the temperature of N55SF? Does it get hot? Cause I'm planning to get a cooler pad for it.

Also, if I charge it for long period of time will the battery life get shorten?

Dear N45SF users,

Good news!

We have already rectified that the GPU underclocking issue was due to graphic card related. Our technical team is working out a new BIOS which schedule to be released before next Friday (16 Sept). User will thereafter require to upgrade their BIOS in order for the notebook to work properly.

P/s: This new BIOS is different than the previously suggested BIOS 215. The BIOS version shall be revealed prior to the release date.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Regards,

ASUS Malaysia

The temperature for mine is N55SF core i5 somewhere around 35-45 celcius for CPU and 40-50 celcius for graphic card during idling. For gaming,it reaches 45-85 celcius for CPU and 50-80 celcius for graphic card smile.gif

I lol'd. 55 celsius on CPU while gaming? No way. My reaches 88 celsius on CPU and 80 celsius on GPU while gaming. And its physically impossible to get 55 on CPU while on GPU is 80 because of cooling system construction.

Maybe yours' defective.
Mine have no problem compared to another Intel Centrino Wifi chip.
This lappy wifi chip signal even comparable to my WifiSky 2000mW 10dBi for consistency

Sorry it was a typo sweat.gif Haha, sounds funny to get 55 on CPU but 80 for graphic card XD The correct one range is 45-85.But i've never reached more than 85 when gaming.Even with Deus Ex Human Revolution.Perhaps my aluminium cooler helps a bit in dissipating heat.I dunno smile.gif

I experience it in power saving mode and I do not know what is it probably setting the brightness with what is in it because when I do not change the anything there is no screen flicker.

No for me it is not rare just when I put the laptop in power saving mode it start to set the brightness for every page which I open I think.
@Kevin If can test it but the room must be dark to see it better and you must use battery.
