guys i just bought n55sf last night, i asked the seller bout upgrading the ram and he ask me to upgrade it at asus center at imbi plaza although he himself got sell the ram module. anyway he say 4gb ddr3 1333 ram cost 60+ (kingston). so let say if i wanna upgrade should i go to asus center or just go to any shop that sells the ram module? does anyone know where or who in garage sales selling ram at cheap prices?

Added on September 10, 2011, 5:21 pmdoes anyone know where to buy the keyboard cover for n55sf model? (not the universal one)

Buy the RAM and install it yourself.IF u dunno how to do it then ask the shop to install it for you.

@Shunz
in your WEI score, I just noticed that your N55SF ram beats my desktop RAM (7.6 vs 5.9)
I am using 4GB Kingston 4GB Memory Kit KHX1600C9D3LK2/4GX on my GA890GPA-UD3H Motherboard.... win7 64bit, Phenom II X6 1055T

So, this means more RAM better?

Windows scores do not show anything if you want to compare your computer it is better to use 3DMark Vantage.

But 3DMark Vantage is for gaming rating isn't it? Or someone correct me. Btw...which is better for graphic quality? Matte or gloss? Since I'm more concerned with watching movie and all. Kinda like Macs...they have such beautiful monitors lol.

Theoretically in WEI score, more RAM = higher score
HIGHER FREQUENCY and LOWER TIMING helps too smile.gif

What do you mean by gaming rating?
3DMark rate your hardware and probably because most of computer geeks are gamer and use this program you say it is for gaming rating.
If you are getting this laptop for watching movie more important than being matte or glossy is the resolution which N55SF is better but for gaming N45SF and N55SF i7 are better.

MAC are using the glossy [shiny] screen
Depends, MATTE screen looks nice with light off
With lights on, you probably saw the reflection of your face unless you max out your brightness.

Okay...then will definitely go for the glossy. WOOHOO. N45 FOR THE WIN!
Though I'm hoping the BIOS fix would be here soon.

Well...you know what...I don't care anymore. I'm going for either one. LOL
