park, mertesacker, andre santos are all typical wenger's signings... cheap and quality..

we've yet to see wenger do what the fans want - splash the cesc/nasri cash..

according to blogs, we will sign one big name player today, and its gonna break arsenal's transfer record... drool.gif  drool.gif

Not much details released about Joel Campbell.

Arsenal is struggling to get a work permit for him. He's applied under special talent visa (He's a Costa Rican)
Not sure if it's settled now.

Anyway, which arsenal blog did you guys visit? the reliable and interesting ones. There's too many out there when i googled it out

Joel Campbell going for loan move probably later today we'll confirm that. We've used our 1 SPECIAL talent visa on Ryo. it's gonna be hard to get another for Joel campbell. since ryo already served his time at Feyenoord last season, priority to him to get into our 1st team. can't wait to see him in action.

Marvin Martin PLEASE!!

ya weh... eheheheh..

anyway when AW makes a deal, he usually factor in the player wages also in the deal. say for Arshavin, fee is 16mil but include his signing bonus and wages for 4 years, the deal is worth 20Mil easily. That's the way we should look for in signings.

that's why we haven't/didn't have big names/break the bank signings. imagine signing someone for a fee of 30mil, then his wages will cost u another 10mil in 4 years, plus agent fee and signing bonus, could've easily break 45mil.

yes we have the money... and from the look of things rite now, we're spending it wisely. Per for Euro9Mil, Santos for a bit lesser and Park for even lesser... all 3 signing totalling about 15mil... but factor in their wages, easily tops 22mil already.

say we got 35+25 from cesc/nasri... that's 60mil. minus the 22, we're left with 38mil. break the bank at 30mil? that seems about right for me. biggrin.gif max we will spend is 30mil.

now go to Sochaux with 20mil euro and get me marvin martin please! notworthy.gif

Arsenal have made a club record bid of £22 million for Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila, according to the Evening Standard.

M’Vila has long been a transfer target for Arsene Wenger, but the manager is hoping to make his ambitions clear this week with some big money buys before the transfer window closes tomorrow night.

Per Mertesacker is said to be completing a move to Arsenal today, while Gary Cahill, Phil Jagielka and Chelsea pair Alex and Florent Malouda have all become last minute transfer targets for Wenger.

Arsenal have in excess of £50 million to spend this summer, after the exits of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, and Wenger reportedly sees M’Vila as the perfect fit for the Gunners’ midfield.

While Rennes are said to be holding out for £30 million for M’Vila’s signature, Arsenal are confident they can get hold of the 21-year-old for less.

so we've bid 22mil for him... that's about what... 28mil euro? if Rennes still dont want to sell... we should look elsewhere, jadson or martin is better value for $.

We've done it with Cahill... since bolton been playing hardball, we just swoop Per Mertesacker for lesser and better too.

We are fans. I am an Arsenal fanatic. But
a) I do not know more about football than Arsene Wenger
b) I do not know more about Arsenal finances than the Board.
c) I do not know what Arsenal’s Account Payables are.
d) I do not have a substantial investment in Arsenal.
e) I do not know the details of any of Arsenals financing arrangements
f) I do not know what Arsenal’s total wages are per year

Every fan like myself wants the Club to win. But to gamble the Arsenal investment away on unreasonable purchases is NOT wise.

Arsenal is NOT RUN ON PETRO DOLLARS.
Now if only the Rabble will listen.

not really keen with Samba, he is just too...and chances of him becoming Squillaci v2 is pretty high too. Looks like Wenger more interested in M'Vila now.

that's gonna cost us a bomb though....

anyway, awaiting anxiously for announcement from arse.com. smile.gif

AW might just make a late bid for Arteta. i wouldnt mind having him as backup if we get Martin or Mvilla.

As said, i'd lay off Cahill (gary or tim) for now.

Joel Campbell failed to get a working permit, hence will be going out on loan... PSV's the likely

That's why despite our paper thin squad we are getting rid of many old players who are either deadwood or no longer mentally with us:

Eboue
Traore
Fabs
Nasri

Still to go : Nicklas

Last chance for salvation : Denilson, Vela (likely to be sold if they still cannot impress in their loaned teams)

No one wants to buy : Manny Al

Wouldn't mind seeing the back of, but only if there are guaranteed new signings: Diaby, Laci, JD, Tommy.

Keep Andy as a luxury substitute who could potentially come on for that one moment of magic, but with Gervy around he's unlikely to be first choice.

it's a rules that states that every club have a max of 25 players over 21yo to choose for to play in the premier league for the whole season, unlimited usage of players under 21yo. these over 21yo player must be registered at the start of the season, and only the 25 players can play. till jan transfer windows open, u can opt to switch for dunno how many players (max 3?) over 21yo to to exclude players registered at the start of the season (eg: players leaving, but not limited to them only) to include players that did not register at the start of the season (eg: new players, but not limited to them only)

learn from fm...lol...i always raid arsenal for youngster biggrin.gif
