QUOTE(javtan @ Sep 18 2011, 06:49 PM)
Hey guys it's me again. My car just got scratched by someone in school while parking mad.gif . The owner was very dishonest, she tried to blame on the other car. Luckily she school's cctv camera managed to capture the whole scene and finally she admitted. The cctv also saw her banging my car while opening the door. I went to get a quote from a few paint shop in penang and they recommend me to paint the whole bumper so there won't be 2 tone. Prices are from Rm200-250. She refuse to pay the whole bumper. So what do you think?

[attachmentid=2441363]
*
Ask her how much she willing to pay then, If she give unreasonable price and not willing to pay, just take the recorded CCTV tape and make a police report tongue.gif

QUOTE(IceFlame21 @ Sep 18 2011, 07:23 PM)
maybe u could buy some paint and DIY? cause I did mine also. but its way bottom la, not very visible biggrin.gif
*
I don't really recommend this lol, high posibility will have 2 tone colour especially when people doesn't really know how to paint in a professional way. Since you painted before, maybe you could tell him how to paint it in a right way so that not to make it so obvious tongue.gif

Hi everybody, I have a problem with my car. Today while driving the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) indicator turned on. Almost immediately I felt the car's acceleration became worse. Anybody experienced this before? I'm taking the car to service centre tomorrow, but I'd like words of advice from anybody who's been through this.
*
No idea about this but from the Manual Book. It says if the car has the MIL indicator on, Immediately sent it to the nearest P2 Centre smile.gif Btw, My dad's Alphard has that MIL indicator on but then he still driving like normal lo. But still, I highly recommend you to sent it to P2 Centre smile.gif

I immediately checked the manual book as well when it happened. I did some Google searches just now some say power loss is expected when MIL turned on, I think I experienced that too. Not taking chances, I'll send it tomorrow. Any recommendation which good P2 service centre around PJ. I only did my servicing in Johor.
*
Haven't tried other Service Centres than the Cheras (Desa Tun Razak) one lol. So can't really give recommendation =X

QUOTE(hsquek @ Sep 19 2011, 12:52 AM)
I just bought Myvi LB standard last month, color - medallion grey, auto gear. This is my 1st car. To be honest I'm not very fuss with the launch of Myvi LB 1.5 coz even if Perodua already launched it when I bought my car I will not go for it, no $$$  sweat.gif  i'm not sure what should be the price difference between 1.3L and 1.5L... for sure this is very unfair to premium & elegance car owners that Perodua should come out with some sort of compensation.
*
Agree with you hsquek , There are a lot butthurted owners here that are unsatisfied with what P2 has done. Some compensation like adding bodykits / tyre or rim changing, free petrol voucher or something would be good enough to compensate I'm sure.

QUOTE(haziqk10 @ Sep 19 2011, 01:25 AM)
Hi everyone. I want to asked you all about my myvi problem.
The problem is when I matikan my myvi engine, the radio, power window and wiper can still be turned on. Even after I unplug my key.
So I was hoping maybe you all can helped me with my problem. And sorry for my bad english.
*
Try bring your car to the service centre to get it checked up. Because people could just on your radio / move your power window , wiper even the key is unplugged. This will cause them easily to drain your car battery and also car safety.

Hello Guys,

Just would like to ask something regarding the front disc brakes. Today when I just reached home, I decided to wash my LB myvi (white) since it's so dirty. So yea, I splash water on the whole car and of cause disc brakes too. After that, I saw smoke coming out from the disc brakes. I know it might be normal since it's hot but normally I do the same thing always (Come Home and straight wash the car) didn't notice any smoke come out from it except this time. Maybe it's me myself didn't really notice / pay attention to it last few times. So now my question is, Is it normal for this situation to happen? Or there's some problem of the disc brakes that I have to send to the service centre to check it out?

mayb this time u ride straight road very long leh..? then u seldom brake.. or u ride slow.. brake little bit also wont so hot wan..

and smoke coming out definitely is normal case.. if got smoke it proves ur disc brake is normal..  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Thanks Aaron smile.gif Maybe it's due to the heavy jam when I was coming back. Have to keep pressing the brakes , move a little then brakes again lol

this Wednesday? Ah I see.
No wonder my dealer called me today and said that he can't get the final price for Myvi 1.5L.
Since the price for 1.5L stated in brochure that I got last week still considered as tentative price.
Thank god that my loan haven't been approved yet.

I want 1.5L Myvi! tongue.gif
*
QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Sep 20 2011, 12:13 PM)
Owh, i thought it's already confirmed hmm.gif
*
It's not been confirmed yet that is why it stated "Tentative Price". But it's just waiting to approve by the Govt. I guess probably not much difference from the current one. Most probably adding some taxes on it that's all

QUOTE(ace4828 @ Sep 21 2011, 01:24 PM)
actually...its not preferable to wash ur car right after the drive...when u splash water to the disc brake...it will cause the disc brake to dent...according to my foreman...then..u might need to skim ur disc brake...
overall..it will be best if u let ur car to "cool down" before washing...
well..thats juz my 2 cents...
changing a new tyre is the best choice if u wan to have a safe ride....
additionally, changing a new tyre will help especially if u are prone to travel during raining time...
*
Thanks Bro for the advice, Any idea how long would it take to cool down then I'll be able to wash the car??

QUOTE(mukhlisz @ Sep 21 2011, 02:01 PM)
hi guys,

i'm thinking of getting these new 14" rims for my car. i'm not a speed junkie or anything so it's mostly for cosmetic purpose. Is Rm600 for 4 pieces considered a good deal? Please share your thoughts. Thanks!  smile.gif

No idea if it's a good deal but for that Rim... What colour is your Myvi? If it's white, I think it will suit it really well

eh.. wan to ask 1 thing... what if the case when we driving when its raining [highway driving.. constantly on the move less braking].. aint it the same like we spray water to it when it is still hot..? hmm.gif
*
Lol, maybe not that serious as compared to directly splash water on it. Because normally on road, those water can't really directly splash into the disc brakes since there's a rim to block it lol

My SA said price for SE confirmed. No change from the previous tentative price.
*
If you think your SA words can be trusted then it's up to you actually. The price is not confirmed as they rushed to launch it with the price not approved by the Government yet. Anyways, Don't think there will be much changes, maybe some tax added that's all. From news, It was supposed to be announced yesterday but still no news yet until now

anyone know whether our LB myvi can change to the 1.5 myvi's body kit?
*
I'm sure it's possible since it's using the same chasis and design. The only difference is the added bodykit and some interior change

thanks for the answer! one more thing, does those car navigator works much more better than those garmin or papago gps?

Obviously no lol, it's a GPS map downloaded from TMnet I think. Garmin / Papago > TMnet / whatever GPS you call that. But then, it's like more convenient for you since it's a build in one

From the looks of some demo, the built-in GPS system seems to be on the Papago system. Just like Toyota's navigation system is actually powered by Garmin's software. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

The new LB Myvi GPS system is from the TMnet one as stated when they launched it
