QUOTE(ks1234 @ Sep 8 2011, 10:46 PM) Yeap it does look nice. If I didn't change to the Elegance Bodykit, I might consider to change to the 1.5L one. Btw, There are rumours saying the bodykit can't fit into the 1.3L one. Would it be true? |

New Myvi 1.5L Confirmed to Launch at 15th Sept. Can start to make your bookings on 12th Sept
QUOTE PETALING JAYA: A new and sportier-looking 1.5-litre variant of the Myvi is expected to boost vehicle sales at Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) this year, motor analysts said. Pictures of the more powerful Myvi variant have surfaced on automotive blogs recently, and industry observers say Perodua is likely to launch the car by year-end. “This will open a new market segment for Perodua. Judging from the online photos, the 1.5-litre Myvi variant looks quite sporty with a full body kit, revamped front end and rear roof spoiler. People have been modifying the previous-generation Myvi anyway with similar looks,” said an analyst. A CIMB Research motor analyst concurred, saying a sporty 1.5-litre Myvi variant would expand Perodua’s product line-up and enable the firm to better compete against Proton Holdings Bhd, which offers the Saga FL 1.6 Executive at RM46,549 (on-the-road with insurance). “Depending on its price tag, a 1.5-litre Myvi would definitely boost Perodua sales,” the CIMB Research analyst said. However, another motor analyst with a local bank was more cautious, pointing out that the top-end variant of the new 1.3-litre Myvi is priced at RM50,800 (on-the-road with insurance). More powerful variant of the New Myvi. “A sporty 1.5-litre Myvi variant could be considered to be slightly expensive by buyers if it is priced in the mid RM60,000 range. Buyers will compare its pricing against the Saga FL 1.6 Executive’s price tag,” the analyst said. Perodua has seen brisk sales of the 1.3-litre Myvi since its launch in mid-June, and has delivered 18,000 units to date. A further 16,000 units are due to be delivered over the next two months. The carmaker, which aims to sell 190,000 vehicles this year, has to-date sold about 115,000 units. Meanwhile, Perodua in a statement said the New Myvi 1.5 “Lagi Power, Lagi Best” will be available at all 178 Perodua showrooms nationwide from Sept 15. Bookings for the premium and sporty variants are open from Sept 12 while prices will be announced on the launch day. The car comes in four variants, including a Multimedia variant, both in the manual and automatic transmissions. It is also available in five exciting colours including a new colour - “Majestic Yellow”. “We are very encouraged by the feedback from our existing and potential customers who want a Myvi with a bigger engine capacity. This new 1.5 Myvi “Lagi Power, Lagi Best” is currently exclusive to the Malaysian market,” Perodua managing director Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said. "The new 1.5 Myvi “Lagi Power, Lagi Best is aimed at the young and urban executives who want a model which is sporty and premium,” he said. “We anticipate that the new 1.5 Myvi “Lagi Power, Lagi Best” will contribute to about half of the monthly 8,000 units Myvi sales,” he said. |

QUOTE(H-TWO-O @ Sep 10 2011, 01:07 AM) Premium Owners won't be that butthurted as Premium is only 50k while 1.5L is 56k. So yea, still a 6k range of price while the Elegance Owners, they bought at 57k price but then there will be actually a price of 56k Myvi 1.5L. End up Elegance owners and those booked it all rage lol. That's seriously a bad move for Perodua. My suggestion would be maybe they lower down the Elegance Price to maybe 53-54k and give rebate of 3-4k to the Current Elegance owners.QUOTE(Empathy @ Sep 10 2011, 04:33 AM) I hope the new 1.5 edition has better handling than the old MYVI . The old myvi really has dangerous handling . I once nearly go turtle taking a corner at 70 km/h only . Well, I'm pretty sure the 1.3L New Myvi handling would be the same as the 1.5L. QUOTE(:zeus: @ Sep 10 2011, 10:53 AM) i have been browsing some of the crash tests on our local cars. What about myvi LB? Anyone can share some vids on LB's crash test? I think you can search crash test by daihatsu since our (Myvi) is using the base from their car named Daihatsu Sirion if im not wrong lolQUOTE(hAnn @ Sep 10 2011, 11:58 AM) ![]() anyone seen a myvi like this? another new model? it was snapshot from my local newspaper (borneopost) yesterday. looks like a kia soul. QUOTE(e30 @ Sep 10 2011, 12:47 PM) it think the price is true, and that the lelegance line will be discontinued. in perodua's site, the elegance is no longer included in the price list. The price list is still in the website lolQUOTE(OKLY @ Sep 10 2011, 01:04 PM) I still can find the price list of the Elegance model. Agree with you, If they really do that, They should be prepared of being flamed by the current Elegance and those booked the elegance ownershttp://www.perodua.com.my/ourcars/myvi-elegance/price/eze It'll be a bad move to phase out the Elegance in my opinion as it'll create some rage among the owners and those who have booked theirs. QUOTE(OKLY @ Sep 11 2011, 06:10 PM) Anyone can clarify if the new MyVi 2011 Lagi Best comes with a cabin filter? As I know, my sis' first gen did not come with it. Yes it does comes with the cabin filter for the new Myvi. For the Old one, I heard people said it doesn't come with cabin filter lolQUOTE(ksc_3688 @ Sep 11 2011, 07:55 PM) Hi guys, Updated New owner of Elegance LB(black) reporting in. Need some inputs from you guys on what need to be done with the car. Mainly I m thinking of changing the rims n tyres. And the sound quality of the speakers are really bad and the touch screen player is not so impressive. What is a MUST/recommended upgrade/installation that should be done to Myvi? Thanks guys . QUOTE(aminar @ Sep 12 2011, 12:05 AM) Standard / Premium? New Myvi or the Old one?QUOTE(cloudclone @ Sep 12 2011, 10:14 AM) How to improve engine lagging response? Press the pedal.like need about one second only can feel it push forward I've the same problem as you too. Lagging response. I don't think anything could be done lolQUOTE(hapa @ Sep 12 2011, 12:04 PM) i think the price of 56k for the new 1.5L myvi is possible as they might jz bump up the engine but remove all add-on such as the touch screen player, body kit and leather seat.. so we can either hv all the extra add on at 56k or kosong for 56k but with 1.5L engine. Updated myvi LB, pearl white, premium, auto, here, FC around 14km/L QUOTE(puterabemi @ Sep 12 2011, 01:41 PM) done my 1,000 km service, my car i just 3 week old. hehe. I'm gonna do my service tomorrow i think p2 should install bonnet light by default because it's so dark at the rear bonnet. QUOTE(kkljason @ Sep 12 2011, 03:32 PM) Hi there. Good Luck getting it fast Just booked my Medallion Grey Myvi LB before raya. Hope to get it by end of the month ..... javascript:emoticon('') QUOTE(OKLY @ Sep 12 2011, 10:09 PM) A dealer is already hinting the price range will be 56k-61k depending on whether it's AT or MT and the variant. Yeap , From what I heard is starting from 56k too. Elegance would phase out. Btw, Some said it will not phase out. So no idea until it officially release This post has been edited by Area51SE: Sep 12 2011, 10:44 PM |

QUOTE(OKLY @ Sep 12 2011, 11:00 PM) I think if they will not be phasing out the 1.3 Elegance then maybe they will drop the price a little, maybe around 1k less so that it can really be in between the 1.3 Premium and 1.5 model. But then those that just bought / currently owning the Elegance variant would be butthurted @@ bought at a price which is higher than a 1.5L Myvi lol |
