Noway Owen is better than Messi. The writer want to argue that to be the best, Messi should join a mid table team like Stoke and win the title drool.gif

Nobody can do wat Maradona did for Napoli though

Flawed. Carry a sense of bias. Must be someone who hates Messi. However, he does have some point valid. The weak foot part. Isnt that the way Messi was outmusled, kept quiet by Arbeloa during the CL game against Liverpool few years back?

cesc and mascherano is not my favourite, they sometime cause some passing tempo lost. mascerano especially is very risky with his long ball passing
*
i agree with your assessment about Cesc. But he brings another dimension to our game. His direct gameplay and quick thinking ability inside opponents box is always useful. Now that Villa is off form, I think there's a big possibility that he will lose his place to Cesc to partner Messi.

I remember he'd written another heavily biased article about Barca 1 or 2 months back, although I forgot the title nor the link. My opinion is, either he is being paid by Soccernet to be funny, or he's really another hater who couldn't stand looking at Barca lifting 12 trophies in 3 years.

I always look up for Phil Ball's articles in Soccernet. He is the best source of football articles regarding Barca/La Liga.

Napoli in late 80's wasn't as bad as Stoke today though. I wonder why people keep on saying Napoli was a shit team, when in fact they had the money to buy Maradona on a then world record fee?

As MADReaLJL said, Messi has grown tremendously since then. His goals using his right foot.

Barcelona line-up (official): Pinto, Montoya, Bartra, Fontàs, Maxwell, Dos Santos, Thiago, Rafinha, Sergi Roberto, Cuenca and Pedro.

Barcelona bench: Oier, Piqué, Riverola, Kiko Femenía, Muniesa, Sergi Gómez and Deulofeu.

barcastuff

Although the game is pretty much meaningless, Thiago and Rafinha starting together bring a whole new excitement into the match rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif Gonna see some brotherly magic tonight rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

So so so proud.....

Before the match I wanted Thiago & Dos Santos in midfield because they are best friends and they use to run the midfield in the youth teams.

And Rafinha to play false 9.

Haven't watched the match yet, its on Astro PVR.

If its true that youth talents come in cycles, it seems like a long time before our Masia cycle stops.

Romeu also played well for Chelsea.

Napoli wasnt a shit team but for a club which never previously won the Serie A before , the Maradona effect is something big !!!!!

Sorry been missing for a bit.

I just got back from Chicago. It has been a really busy month.

Anyway best news for breakfast this morning. We don't have to re-thrash the Manu boys. They deposited themselves into the thrash bin last night.

All I can say is their arrogance will continue to be their undoing. Loved the radio chatter this morning as well.

Barca's B-team has already achieved a B+ on my list. Good win with and thanks for the highlights biggrin.gif

Wow.

At times the Babies looked better than the A-team.
Better movement, not relying on anyone to create some magic but instead all work together as a unit. A
What made me the most happy was the recovering the ball time. The A team has been too casual with it at times this season.

And Wow.. THe best league in the world only has one CL hopeful.
I guess the league is so strong until they're worn out tongue.gif
