hopefullt they can secure the copa del rey. nod.gif
nothing last forever sweat.gif

You're right. That's why this season Tello and Cuenca featured quite regularly. Guardiola knew Xavi can't last forever. They need new focal point, hence the new formation.

Well, even so, I still regard Barcelona as the best footballing team I have ever seen in my entire life up to now.

Winning is very important but no one can take the fact away they have the skill, the brilliance, the ability and the beauty of the game.

whatever it is im still proud that we kept our style of play. thumbup.gif
dont play defensively. i think pep should revert back to 4-3-3.
abidal-puyol-pique-alves. that more a solid back 4.

David Villa is missed. Honestly.

In this match only to a certain extent. We didn't need any one else besides those that were on the pitch.

Messi hit the post when he decided to take a shot from the edge of the box. Others should’ve done that as well. Many times when they arrived at the edge, they either tried to dribble through, pass, 1-2′s or didn’t know what to do.

Just take a shot. It might get deflected and go in or rebound to one of our players.

Lately Guardiola is fiddling with 3-3-4 / 3-4-3 formation instead of the old 4-3-3. Always left 3vs3 or 3vs2 situation at the back. Maybe he sense something missing with his trio midfielder this season, the injuries or to accommodate young player. No strict defensive line, too wide open from the flanks. Anyway, this is still good season for Barca although not as good as previous. Just unfortunate they slightly dipped at the most crucial time of the season.

3 at the back or 4, both are not going to make any difference when our backline was so high. Myabe our backline was at fault for losing a bit concentration, but IMO little else could be done. There's risk to playing high back line, and that was exactly happened.

Come to think of it, probably all 3 goals we conceded was as a result of poor concentration. Hardly tactical error to me. Maybe we just need Pique badly as the calmer head.

You just can't win them all.

Barcelona are humans, not robots. Pep has won something like 15 out of the 19 trophies he has participated in, with Copa Del Rey still up for grabs.

It is not the end of the world!

I know we win and lose as a team but Messi has to take some blame. He lost the ball rather easily to Lampard that led to the winning goal last week and he missed the spot kick that would have put Barca 3-1 up. The games would have changed alot.

Barcelona should buy some defenders + goal keepers at the end of the season.

Well.. I guess you cant win every game.... or every time or every tournament...

Barca to me is still the best team I have seen since I started watching football in 94... Next season try again smile.gif

what are u suggesting?

one does not simply blame messi. after what he brought to the club, the glory and endless goal for countless season, the assist he made and the joy of lifting the trophy and when he just dont deliver and outperform chelsea's defender u want to say that it is his fault?

im a chelsea fan but dont get me wrong, imo we win for our classy defending and to read barca's offense. messi should not be blamed, at least not in the open.
