QUOTE(dlct87 @ Sep 4 2011, 09:26 AM)
yup, his best position would be in between the midfield and the striker

Ando and Cleverley are getting better understanding between them now as we can see they will alternate with each other on def--att situation, that will only do good for us, so 3 midfield are not needed, at least for now
*
Playing Rooney alone is not a good idea. If needed, rotate between Cleverley, Fletcher and Anderson.

And this would be really unfair to Welback and Hernandez.....

I could agree for now but facing big opponents and European games, we might need the third CM/DM. Hence, Fletcher or Carrick to come in.

yup, if not for the depleted squad of Arsenal Fergie might put extra experience or extra CM (Gazza also said 3 midfielder was the way United went vs Arsenal in the past few years)....only thing is how's the form of Fletcher and Carrick, that's all..

carrick+giggs works well last season

but that's partly due to unavailability of Fletcher

headache selection for SAF but this is a good thing thumbup.gif

and I dun like to see Berba on bench sweat.gif

missed his genius touch and control of the ball wink.gif

4-5-1 when needed

Cleverley - Fletcher - Ando combo is  drool.gif

Swap Fletcher with Carrick, and that midfield would have balance. Someone who can really hold and shield the defence, and two very hardworking guys playing next to him. Fletcher can replace either Ando or Cleverley depending on form/team we play against/tactics..

SAF have been making formation changes depending on the game/tactics and been successful for us these past few years. 442 normally, but 451/433 for the much harder games. I think we'll see that 433 again when the knockout round starts.. unless SAF really have that 'relentless' vision and trying it out every game.

We played Rooney alone plenty of times in the past when Tevez/Berba was here. It won't be used in every game, or many games. Only the big ones depending on what tactics SAF want to use. As long as Rooney is not isolated, he will shine. Cleverley would be better at supporting him from midfield than any of our midfielders even including Giggs IMO.

Not sure about Fletcher, he needs a few games here and there before he's back to his old self, but Carrick should be fine as long as he's not expected to perform wonders in midfield. Hold the the midfield, and the rest will be taken care of by Ando and Cleverley. SAF is saying sometime in November before he get into his stride.. huhu. It would take a while.

Like it or not there will always be people who don't like him and Berba no matter he played or not

If you want experienced player: Ji-sung Park, Darren Fletcher, Darron Gibson
At reserve: Matty James, Davide Petrucci, and perhaps Pogba?

Pretty well covered i think

Won't include Gibson as he was injured anyway.

James looks promising before, but has faded a bit recently. Same oso with Petrucci.

dunno if Carrick was injured before the Arsenal match, but he was on the bench during the Tottenham match

and no, Anderson will be the first choice CM this season, others will be fighting to be paired with him, or be rotated when he needed a rest

when we have a full squad all lads raring to go, i dont thin we will stick to any certain formation for long periods much less for any periods in a game.

there will be rotation, the ones who missed games will need games to get the fitness back, while the ones who played earlier will need rest to keep things fresh.

with todays football game its way risky to go and play the same way on every game.we may field the same players but what the gaffer tells the lads pre and at half time are not known to any one but those 2 parties same goes to our opponents they wont be doing the same thing every time.

as for next weekends game we may see shuffled pack giving some rest to the ones who went on international duties.exciting season ahead.

i think Fletcher and Chicharito might be given a start vs Bolton to further bolster their match fitness...but it will depend on what happen during the second international match in a few days...fingers cross guys...no injury for the lads involved

meanwhile Tevez strikes again lulz
