QUOTE(kembar4 @ Nov 3 2011, 06:02 PM)
Hey guys,

I sold my Dell S2409W monitor 2 months ago, and have been using a 15" ACER monitor for the time being.

My GPU is GTX580.

I was waiting for Asus 27" 3D monitor to be released but have soon realized that its of a luxury than something practical. The price is one thing, the availability is another. Maybe 3D is just a gimmick so for now, I'll just settle with plain old 2D.

As i was using a 24" before, i don't want to go lower than that. I don't have a specific budget, but i think 27" monitors are still overpriced.

The dell 24" IPS monitor seems nice, but the 8MS response time is something to consider about since the rig is mainly a gaming rig. What do you guys think? 8MS response time is a huge deal that i'd see ghosting / tearing? I'm don't play much of racing games, just action ones like LFD2, GTA , Crysis and the likes of it.

What would you guys suggest?

Buckroger in Garage sales selling 27" Samsung for RM 799 only. Maybe you want to check that?

Compared to online price, the monitor with 5 years warranty only get cheaper by RM 11. Well, no big deal if you cannot get discount as long as the price redemption is there (The RM 100).

CC only for emergency use. I normally don't use and try other alternative unless it is really necessary. Anyway I can wait since I'll be outstation for 3 days starting Monday. smile.gif

Mine is exactly the same as yours. Sales agent say U2412 is better but judging from your guys suggestion it is definitely U2312 more suitable for me. rclxms.gif

Well. I recommend you take U2312 because is better to get a same ratio monitor.
I tested my mac 16:10 ratio with 16:9 ratio monitor.
When I try drag some window over to 16:9 ratio screen and it can't fit screen (fullscreen)
Need resize the windows.. I found out a bit troublesome and that's why I get the U2412 smile.gif

Haha yeah rclxms.gif
Both monitors are nice.

Don't think I can help despite my quotation is valid until Tuesday. The sales agent has reminded me for few times already that the promotional price is effective until Saturday only.

Aiks, not RM549? Or you opted in for the 5 years warranty thing.

If I were to bank in to you, then it will be delivered to your house? What if you try to ask her to raise another quotation billed directly to me, that's how I helped another forumer last time, got the deal I wanted, offer lapsed then got the SA to raise another quotation directly to the other person  tongue.gif

Cause I scared if got warranty issue all, I don't want to kacau you la
*
Yeah I will definitely ask her about that. Stay tune. smile.gif
For the price, I opted for 5 years warranty, only RM 30 per year for 4th and 5th year. Definitely worth it.
I live in Puchong btw.

I think you should try join the bulk. The promotional price last week was RM 800 for 3 years warranty.

Coincidentally I requested two quotation for both U2312 and U2412 respectively so I got both valid until next Tuesday/Wednesday. tongue.gif

St2320l , can i join n get nice price...tq
*
If you plan to go with ST2320L I think the current online price is quite good already. If you don't mind maybe you can wait until Tuesday, speak to an agent and ask for the best price.
I'm not sure if the bulk works or not, have to check with my SA. Furthermore, the bulk is U2312 (IPS). smile.gif

I dont understand  sad.gif Can you explain? And how to check?
*
Check the back panel of your computer. See where the connection are connected to, is it via card slot or motherboard?
But reading that you connect through VGA give me an assumption that you are connected via onboard graphics which is why the maximum resolution is 1280 x 1024.
