I sold my Dell S2409W monitor 2 months ago, and have been using a 15" ACER monitor for the time being.

My GPU is GTX580.

I was waiting for Asus 27" 3D monitor to be released but have soon realized that its of a luxury than something practical. The price is one thing, the availability is another. Maybe 3D is just a gimmick so for now, I'll just settle with plain old 2D.

As i was using a 24" before, i don't want to go lower than that. I don't have a specific budget, but i think 27" monitors are still overpriced.

The dell 24" IPS monitor seems nice, but the 8MS response time is something to consider about since the rig is mainly a gaming rig. What do you guys think? 8MS response time is a huge deal that i'd see ghosting / tearing? I'm don't play much of racing games, just action ones like LFD2, GTA , Crysis and the likes of it.

What would you guys suggest?

05 Nov, cant track using IRN and email on Order Status Page
05 Nov, email Dell

Well, here is my case:
- online chat get better price (online chat)
- they send me quotation (email).
- i reconsider
- think twice
- think again...haha...
- I use the email with quotation reply back to the sale girl, ask what should I do if i want to buy with cc (email).
- she replied me want to call me for further discussion. (email)
- i call to her directly (got direct phone line in her email), and ask for my cc details (phone).
- i gave her cc details, she ask me wait for 1min to wait for the cc transaction can go through or not (phone).
- after cc transaction done, then i receive confirmation order email.
- after few min, i can online check the status.
- next day, the status already preparing ship out from factory.
- next day, got sms and email said i can receive on 08 Nov.
- I'm not hurry as not around this long weekend...haha...

Well. I recommend you take U2312 because is better to get a same ratio monitor.
I tested my mac 16:10 ratio with 16:9 ratio monitor.
When I try drag some window over to 16:9 ratio screen and it can't fit screen (fullscreen)
Need resize the windows.. I found out a bit troublesome and that's why I get the U2412

What if you try to ask her to raise another quotation billed directly to me, that's how I helped another forumer last time, got the deal I wanted, offer lapsed then got the SA to raise another quotation directly to the other person
