why you need HDMI port for monitor that doesn't have a speaker?

if you bought GPU
its usually include HDMI to DVI converter
*
Speaker? I thought using hdmi cable from gpu connect to monitor will give nice graphic.using vga or dvi cable is suck nowdays.is it true?

That is absolutely false
Native for VGA is usually 800x600 while both HDMI and DVI is 1920x1080.
This have nothing to do with quality that its deliver
you aren't powering up 100''inch screen
DVI is hassle free as many monitor support it since 2006

In my opinion
Dual DVI > DVI = HDMI > VGA

do remember that the only special things about HDMI is that its also transfer Audio
so if you have LCDTV,it would be hassle free not to plug audio to your jack
we do have 2 more port which is S-Video and Display Port
but its easier to stick with DVI

hdmi is dvi+audio.
what i am trying to tell, its video quality is same. if you do not have built in speaker in your screen or a speaker which plugged in to monitor's audio jack, then hdmi is unnecessary smile.gif

If me I would go for BenQ. Lower nit rating always good colour - less brightness, eg; lower nit rate = more expensive

Hi everyone, I'm looking to purchase a new monitor probably around next month.. anyone can give good recommendation based on requirements below with good price-to-performance ratio?
  1. Maximum budget RM600. Prefer <RM500 if possible
  2. At least 23" with 16:10 resolution (1920x1200)
  3. Any brand.
  4. MUST-HAVE VGA and DVI ports. HDMI is optional but preferred.
Thanks!

Yeah. That monitor's in my list but want to see if there's any other competitive models with 16:10 resolution.. prefer 16:10 over 16:9 laugh.gif
