Hi donnie,

Only if you buy and hold for 3years. Read my post again. If your long term timing is wrong, not necessary you will gain.

Hmm...this 1 to 2 years is very misleading...

when i take a look at the gold trend for the past 30 years...

what i see is from 1982 until probably 2005, if you bought it at 1982 and you sell at sometime before 2005, you might not even earn anything...the price was pretty flat below USD500/ounce....
in fact...you might lose money.... and that's how many years we're talking about? if you have saved the money in FD in that period with compounded interest, i'm not sure if the FD might even yield more return than the gold capital gain...

so to those who even think that you will earn if keep 'long' term 1-2 years... u better consider properly...

good luck ...

I dont know where you got that info, but from the history shown here Gold Price History , the 30 years trend is increasing.

yes, timing/entry is quite important.
i bought maybank july 2010 - 128/g.
from july until mar 2011, not really move. even dipped in feb11. only start climbing in may but i missed the opportunity to sell at 180. it was a brief moment only.

uob entered end july 154.6 exit early aug 173.1 meet target already brows.gif then bought physical

if u plan to buy n keep- go physical lah.

Many of my friends entry at RM 178-180/gm early month. Lowest 100gm, highest up to 500gm. They look like nothing, sleep well and eat well.

In their mind set = year end confirm will raise up to at least USD 2000/oz. Only god will know

Am thinking of physical gold but the gold/jewelry shop spread is so high. Anyone can suggest good place to buy physical gold? Does maybank shah alam main branch sells kijang emas?

We call that "hope" without hope what's the point being a human? Our daily like depend on hope too. Hope one day, no need to work, hope this, hope that, if no invest in gold no hope at all, life very boring, no fun, no "heng-fun". brows.gif

Is it true banks like CIMB and PB, you can buy paper gold, and then when you sell it off, you can either get cash or the ammount of physical gold that you bought ? If like that, what for buy physical? Need someone to help icon_question.gif

Hah! Like I said before "Whenever you see gold price staying stagnant chances are it goes steep dip the next day". It's steep dipping already now USD160x/1oz & keep dipping fast, never believe any of those what so called ichimoku chart, none of them is reliable.

Let's provide with solid concrete statements and analysis. The below analysis is what I made way even before the time it happened. Many of the forumers whom I have invited to participate in my Ichimoku group in facebook via special invitation can prove to you about what I am going to say as below is TRUE.

1. Gold made a big dip. Clear "TEMPORARY" retracement is expected upon seeing the reversal candles. I have shared how to see them here > http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...post&p=45593608

2. I have used a high probability fibonacci technique to then guage the yellow box on the H4 chart. Please refer to attached image & for those who are curious, you can go buy the book "High Probability Trading Strategies by Robert C. Miner". I have nothing to hide but more sharing.

3. Another picture attach to prove you that the yellow box was a real box is attached from the daily chart.

4. Market made a retracement to the H2 chart and i placed a sell order upon seeing a reversal candle just right at the kijun sen.

5. The last chart is the latest market price for Gold aka XAU.

Drawback on this trade is +/- 1000 pips.
Current profit is > 6500 pips @ 1 lot size.

Reliable or not? It is a tool that have helped me made good calls in my trades. It is up to others to believe now. I dont look at news. I only see charts because charts tells me everything, especially with Ichimoku. wub.gif rclxm9.gif
