After looking at mugen door door visor for a long time, dun quite like the design of mugen for insight. I like the venttec design. Slim and it is totally different design from oem door visor if you look carefully. Not everyone have the same taste.  That is why there are different design in the market for different customers.

Wooo...test drive Toyota Prius yesterday...not bad especially start engine (no sound) but Insight much more comfortable... Probably leather seat    Very quiet indeed but when you accelerate, you can hear the engine roaring a bit...don't like the sound...prefer insight more... 

Ask the salesman about the incident in Kerinchi highway where prius caught fire(first in the world). It is because that fella change the radio into navi radio cum touch screen. Somehow the wiring touch the high voltage and caught fire I think. Salesman no comment 

Did check the engine bonnet, very complex. Not as simple as insight. Modification is hard and at your own risk as the generator is beside the engine(High Voltage). 

Still prefer insight...sportier...easier to mod and comfortable... That's my opinion.... 

yup.i gave a call to HM Malaysia asking if we are allowed to use mineral oil for the subsequent service after the first 3 times....the answer from HM was 'yes' but they would still recommend to use semi-sync oil for better performance and fuel efficiency..If not mistaken, apparently the price difference between the mineral oil and semi-sync oil is not so much difference 

I noticed after the CVT reset, I can feel smoother drive. Less jerking and the battery seem easily charged.

The turtle scratch repair system, costs about 1XX in jusco, and I think it's cheaper if we send it to workshop to touch up at this rate...

yesterday i was stuck in the jam for quite long. i was on eco mode and of course will engage to autostop for each stop (my each stop really take quite a while, at least 1 minute), and to one point of time when in the middle of autostop, my car engine started fire up again, but the sound is different this time, the sound had more acceleration power on it, and what's more? the acceleration did not stop, the RPM maintain at more than 1000. i quickly scroll the panel and notice the batt has gone completely EMPTY. yeah so i immediately know that the acceleration was to charge the batt. but am wondering,  what has caused the batt to drain so much during autostop and jam?

another thing is, while my batt was empty, driving with it means the power is back to 1.3. seriously, the car really feels like cant move at all O_O, and i can tell u guys, driving the car without the batt aint fun

For the battery drain problem in heavy jam, it is because you still running your audio system and etc etc... One thing to remember, your hybrid doesn't come with alternator as normal car would, the IMA motor itself acts as alternator to charge your 12v... There for, in heavy jam it is difficult for the IMA motor to charge the 12v since you are not moving anywhere enough for the IMA motor to do enough charging, moreover ECON mode will shut off engine. You guys know for ordinary car, when the engine is running then the alternator runs together to provide alternate current to all your accessories right? While the same time charge the 12v. Therefore, during such situation, turn off ECON so that engine won't stop and the your accessory will source power from 12v instead of IMA battery. Of it the IMA battery already low, just do your manual charging by revving.

guys, what is your mileage when u first noticed that the IMA baterry went totally depleted. mine is 11k now, and i havent had my IMA go kaput (no battery).

Just done my 20k service. Total RM343.65.

hmmnn..your service advisor didn't advise you to try the new full-sync engine oil(SM 0W-20 full-sync oil) deemed for hybrid vehicles?

New owner reporting in..still lot to learn..

Went to Kah Motor Puchong Service Center (the one near the Tesco Puchong U-Turn flyover) to do my 10k service. Mentioned to the service advisor that my car have a quite a loud and prominent whistling sound coming probably from somewhere behind the dashboard on passenger side when driving at around 100km/h. No sound before 100km/h and the sound also disappear after 110km/h. The sales advisor say will get technician to drive out and test, so service will take longer than usual (he mentioned 1 and a half hour).

Walking around, I noticed my car was actually parked in the parking lot most of the time (only went into the workshop for about 20 minutes). I waited close to 3 hours and still car not ready so I go ask whether it's ready. The service advisor told me technician did test drive but did not hear any whistling sound when driving at 100km/h so ask me to come back and check again if I still hear the sound. I was wondering how come the car could have been driven out of the service center for the test drive without me noticing it, maybe I actually overlooked.

Now come the disappointing part, when I get into my car and start the engine, I noticed the milage at the MID was exactly the same reading as when I send in the car! I was like, wow, they can bring the car to 100km/h in less than 1km mileage recorded in odometer?

I didn't know Kah Motor Puchong have a wind tunnel facility inside them to test wind noise at high speed without the need of actually driving the car into highway, or, they actually have the capability to reset my odometer back to original mileage after their test drive.

I supposed service engineers normally felt car owners are just fussy, wind noise during high speed is a normal thing and a lot of the complains are just psychological effect of the car owners always wanting their car to be in perfect condition, and since it is under warranty, car owners will complain on every small things they could find.

I was in hurry so I do not have much choice and I did not make a fuss out of it, since I had wasted 3 hours sitting down there assuming they actually took my car out for test drive.
