I have problem in deciding which color to use for my car porch. I like grey but there are some negative feedback saying that grey is not easy to maintain and it will make the entire car porch look dirty. I want to know how true is that?
Thanks

Avoid any light colours as they tend to show out when dirty. Furthermore, more difficult to maintain.
Avoid those rough surface tiles as it will be very difficult to clean. Dirt gets collected and difficult to scrub. |

QUOTE(JoJo(0^0) @ Aug 19 2011, 11:21 PM) Not sure abt MML rustic tile.My opinion is to avoid those white, light beige colours that can stain easily. Plus those that are rough in the surface or those slate like. need more effort to clean them. Of course, if you have a full time hardworking maid, then Ok la... |

well, if you talking about car porch than you should get are "Rough surface" tiles, as that was area that rain / water and your car parking area, you didn't want to have a smooth layer.
Not only should non-slip, high mechanical strength tiles be considered, smaller-sized tiles with more grout lines may provide additional slip resistance and can be another option. You can just ask them to recommending car porch tile with your prefer colour, with only Grey will really look dark, maybe mixed with Venilla colou? |

I bought it from ace hardware, you can use painting roller to apply.Cannot be polishing right, with it being imprinted and all. Wax? Lacquer type of paint for concrete? |

I find concrete car porch easy to maintain (but slightly dusty at times).
Only issue is you need to make the surface a lil rough, if not it can be slippery. Slate also another good material but on the slightly more costly side. Do not go for black as dirt is pretty obvious against black but go for something of a beige or grayish hue depending on your preference. |

I used MML Mera colour J44 (Tan) 1x1 for my car porch. The colour is quite pleasing on the eyes, and upkeep so far seems ok. I hve no pattern, just tiled all the pieces, but my tiler added some pebblewash pattern which comes out quite nicely.
My BIL did not use the rough homogenous tiles for his porch, and he really regret because (1) can be slippery and (2) colour a bit light can see the dirt easily. |
