as far as i know most e-tailers in US selling at the new price are already out of stock...

they all jumped the gun and slashed the price on 19 Aug US time... instead of 20 Aug which HP intended

Too bad I missed the sale, now the server is always busy, can't even register for the notification via e-mail

since it's set to be delivered to my apt state side and if there WILL be issues (in other words another unwanted visit to SIRIM) i'd have to wait till end of sept for her to bring it over ,_,

lets say i have bought the tablet here in malaysia at the normal price...will i get a refund like the US? is HP malaysia going to be responsible too?

there isn't going to be any local units afaik :s

i am feeling really pity for all those who have bought hp dv recently..their warranties are still not over yet and they are out of support...i see a lot of second hand hp laptops available in next coming weeks

no, warranty issue will juz be transferred to which ever company that takes over HP's PSG department... like wat happened to IBM computers back then...

besides, we re at least 12mths away from the time when HP starts selling, they need time (a few mths) to evaluate all potential buyers, and then another few mths (6mths or more) to complete... more than enuf time to use up the warranty...
