not too sure what you mean with the latter bit of your comment since afaik honeycomb would be android's tablet os, so.. why.. would you want say gingerbread to work on it instead?

but could you bare the fact that you're paying 180usd more than others?

even those that bought the touchpads at the "normal" prices are getting refunds iirc

any idea if there'd be any issues if i were to get my cousin to mail me the touchpad here?

since it's set to be delivered to my apt state side and if there WILL be issues (in other words another unwanted visit to SIRIM) i'd have to wait till end of sept for her to bring it over ,_,

the last time i was at sirim, i was angry, confused, baffled, confused, gobsmacked and did i mention confused? at how i needed to register my jawbone WHICH i forgot to bring back with me and had asked my cousin to mail to me because it was a telecommunication device?

basically same as the one i ordered at hp's site. stayed the same way for 10 odd hours till i finally called them to confirm my us billing / shipping address and all that noise.

that's what i thought as well. when i forgot to bring back some of my stuff earlier this.. mwell summer, i got my cousin to mail them to me. among the stuff was my jawbone. my cousin described them as "gifts". (this was via fedex) next thing i know fedex rang me up and said one of the things sangkut dekat kastam kerana merupakan alat telekomunikasi.

i was like ha?

sirim with full detail of the device > wait > get letter with some number > inform fedex > fedex informs customs > customs gives greenlight > fedex ships > sirim says i need to bring in the device to be checked in > turns out that "some number" is just so i could get it INSPECTED.

but if it gets "caught", confiscation at best, chargess pressed for smuggling attempt at worst ._.?

hmm maybe i should get more than just two units o_o.

i only have one person coming back from the states though. (decided i'm not going to risk another trip to sirim by having it mailed)

she could prolly carry 2 at best in her bag claiming they're gifts but more than that would be less conspicuous, lol.

my cousin has one of the two i ordered opened and she says it feels slightly heavier than the ipad.

but browsing feels noice on it.

don't be, come that pc fair in sg thingy there'll be more windows for malaysians to get it.

acquiring one quicker holds no candle afaic :P

yeah, kinda wish i wasn't back in malaysia as early as i did so i could've played with it _now_ :P
