Guys, I need some confirmation on driving in Malaysian car into singapore. I drove in yesterday and they asked me to get an autopass which is $10 and it is deducted by 2.80 when leaving sg.

For weekends no ERP charges right? How bout if I drive in on weekdays, how would they charge me? I only need to pay $5 for the fixed ERP ?

while the NEW ceiling of SGD5k rate at 16& the CPF contribution amount is SGD800

For communication, just use skype. I virtually spend nothing when i call back to my hometown when using skype. Thats if i do call back which isnt often.

Food is to low, bump it to 500.

Travelling isnt so ex if your flying budget once a month.

Hmmmm interesting ...... I never realize there could be so many complications.

I don't think I can totally separate everything in KL, e.g. I can't sell my house in KL even if I were to move my wife and kids to SG. My parents wants to stay there. And what if I want to go back to KL once in a while, I can't sell my car, and I can't terminate my KL phone line. So a lot of these expenses are still not reduced, I'm afraid.

If my wife comes to SG with me, for sure she must work too. But in the interim period before she comes, I will have to decide whether I personally want to expand my career to SG, or here in Msia .....

Yo guys. Need some help here. My friend is coming down to SG this weekend for holiday.  Any good backpackers hostel to recommend? As long as the hostel is clean and not situated in the red light district, she won't mind. I remember someone mentioned it before but somehow search didn't come up anything useful.

hotel 81 in bugis seems like a good location for me.. Tried looking for it for a friend but never stay there before.
