Luckily I kept 1 syrians.. the rest all winter white.. but the female was albino with red eyes , so fierce so i separated her from the male.. else i think she will go attack the male @.@

Just bought mealworms from pj oldtown. Now they are having their very delicious worm for the first time. Some are afraid and some are crazy.

well, its not wrong to be safe. Youre right, maybe the head will start biting in their stomach? sweat.gif
Well, my previous syrian like to munch on those head first though, then continue on their body, so i guess he knows whats he is doing.

those are mealworms, if they bite cant really feel a thing unlike superworm. For hamsters who dont store mealworms in their pouch should be fine if you want to fed with the head. They will usually crunch everything before swallowing (check the hamster jaw picture in first page).

For those who store in the pouch its best to cut the head off. Even though the bite isnt pain but there is a possibility of infection so its a wise thing to do. But i dont think hamsters will store it in the pouch la since the mealworms will keep moving & the hamster wont be comfortable with that. Maybe only for the first time.
