QUOTE(Serofax @ Aug 18 2011, 11:22 AM) i got feedbacks that perfect living isnt as good as homedec in KLCC. Serofax, i was told that you will get the same price even though not in the fairs. And usually those in the fairs are big brands so they are more expensive. Perhaps anyone who has went there before, can share with us?nevertheless, i'm looking to get my blinds and alu doors there =) |

This will be the place where you will be able to inquire about the products under one roof. But will not be comprehensive. Should be the same as last year.

In a fair/exhibition, I always get very confused. That's my past experience having been to a few home fairs. Too many people and the exhibitors also have no time to entertain you.
So this time, I already prepared a list of what I want together with the cheapest price I could get outside. At the fair, if i can get the exact same item cheaper, good for me. Can pay deposit. Otherwise, can forget abt it lorr.... I dunno abt Perfect Living but when I visited MF3 recently, was told by many of the bedding exhibitors that they come direct from factory and we cannot buy from them anymore after the fair. I kinda liked some bed frames displayed but mostly are very pricey. And was told that those bed frames are exclusively made to be sold at the fair only. If I do not put in a deposit, I can never buy them anywhere else. Well... Anyway, the full list of exhibitors at Perfect Living was in a pullout of The Star newspaper yesterday. |

QUOTE(Serofax @ Aug 18 2011, 11:22 AM) i got feedbacks that perfect living isnt as good as homedec in KLCC. Yup, Perfect Living's price is not as good as Homedec KLCC as most of the big dealers will only exhibit in homedec. No nd to rush as there will be another homedec in Octnevertheless, i'm looking to get my blinds and alu doors there =) http://www.homedec.com.my/ If u have done ur homework and feel the price in perfect living is cheap, no harm paying some deposit. Don blindly buy when u c there are PROMOTIONS or PACKAGES, usually if u buy from normal shops and get the items individually, it might b cheaper. Ok guys I went dy and just got back from there.
Overall think it's a good place to gather info. However dont think that the prices are cheaper..actually..some more expensive. Things that caught me eye: 1. baagus has promo. Rm 580+ for sliding door curtain 10 ft. Rm99 for roman blinds 54". OK price? 2. jasprit has promo too for 800+ whole house curtain provided u have only 3 bedroom. 3. Modern but expensive lightnings 4. Kitchen cabinets. Anyone had feedback for d ormat cabinets? Price seems reasonable. Lots and lots of cabinet participant. Ok too many so I only focused on the ones I wanted. However I did kinda find the electronics section a bit expensive. for eg. Fotile air curtain hood selling at rm2550 where I saw outside only about rm2k,if I'm not mistaken. Correct me if I'm wrong ppl... also niro 1x2 tiles..exact same basaltina tiles showroom sell rm15.90..places in tile shop sell about rm13. However there sell 18.90 with some discounts of coz... On an extra note, some exhibitors who participated last year isn't here this year... This post has been edited by @Adele: Aug 18 2011, 06:26 PM |

this is the place to gather information i.e. where to get what, but try not to give deposit on the spot. as u may get some better deals elsewhere.
got tricked before so beware. |

if u r looking for items like Fotile, Johnson suisse, Sorento, Grundfos or bathroom & kitchen accessories, you can drop by our showroom. Our Raya promotion would b much attractive to the prices in Perfect Living.

All these fairs and exhibitions
I've been to 4 - 6 fairs (including the past Perfect living) the past year. If you are a newbie:- Go and look see looks see and understand what is available. You can usually get the same or better price later if you hunt around after the exhibition. Do not get caught up in the hype. If you are a veteran (already know what you want and where to get it elsewhere and at what price):- Go at the last day and try your luck then. You have nothing to lose. QUOTE(phoenix69 @ Aug 18 2011, 08:57 PM) All these fairs and exhibitions I been like 7 to 10 fairs for the last 18 months. Tell me about it. Some i go just "kepo" because is just near my office. All I can tell you, 70% of the faces are repeat. This is just like the very first computer fair Microfest, when it first start they really give good deals and during that time is @ PJ State. That is like once a year. After few year is like once every quarter and nothing special. |

I second Adele that the electronics prices are not very competitive.
There's one stall (Solid Glass & Metal Industries) selling aluminium swing doors with glass panels for RM570 inc installation and regular round door knob/lock. Add RM150 for the aluminium frame. If you want the plastic "inserts" around the glass panel then it's RM650 per door. Good price? As I mentioned in the Tiles thread: Feruni at Perfect Living selling some 600x600 (2'x2') at RM11.99 per piece limited to first 250 pieces. YE04NN - Garnet Series RM11.99 PU01NN - Pure Series RM14.99 Any good, Feruni? Did a search but no one made any conclusive statements. They have a couple others around that price also, but I didn't take down the model numbers. Niro tiles are being represented by a couple dealers, who are not offering any special pricing beyond what you'd normally get outside anyway. There are quite a few grill companies there, as well as a few flooring companies, but I didn't talk to them as I've more or less settled my grill and wood floor already. One rather expensive solid wood door stall, and a couple stalls selling "engineered" doors. Loads of kitchen cabinet and wardrobe stalls. For some reason, most of them seem to be offering quartz top at prices below granite. Some at RM160 pfr, or even RM130 pfr if I'm not mistaken. Of course there's still the more expensive RM230, or even RM300 pfr options. Is quartz supposed to be better than granite? Pening la. Got quite a few quotes. Have to sit down and do a comparison analysis. This post has been edited by kamion: Aug 18 2011, 11:08 PM |

So much difference..looks the same to me.. kamion, which cabinet company you asked for quotation ya... I wanna share share...TOO MANY, i can't interview them all. And yes, quartz was the offer item le in this time perfect living.. But quartz the cheaper ones does not look so modern.. This post has been edited by @Adele: Aug 18 2011, 11:18 PM |
