Can you play L4D2 smoothly? If yes then its possible to be play, since CS GO uses the same engine as L4D2 (improved little bit i guess).

No surprise, BF3 you can take your good time to take down your enemy, where as in CS, its all about being fast and precise.

Tools are still a tool at the end of the day.

No babies gets to walk/crouch/sit/stand when they just born.

Easy to get into competitive you say? Probably in Malaysia as the standard isn't really that high yet, most player still using the good ol' play style.

Depending on your connection speed, but its impossible to wait for 1 whole day unless you're still on 56k.

Everyone is facing that problem, seems like Valve wants us to connect in the game instead from the outside.

As for this i not sure, i only know the 3rd party mod not found problem does exist to all users.

Mostly passworded competitive server are for serious scrimmers, the password by default is 'scrim' without the quote, so join the fun, if they need people to scrim.

CS GO is basically a whole new game so stop comparing with others, as usualy by Valve it will be updated from time to time.

But well if you still insisted to ask the difference, i can tell you that the only difference is this game will be fully supported by its parents as its targeted to bring this game into competitive levels, so if you thought of going competitive, this game is your best bet, other than that, nothing to say much, its completely a new game.

Server can be hosted by company, or you can rent your own one.

And i don't see the reason to have CS on console seriously, this is a game we played since childhood and we played it on PC since the first release, what's the point releasing it on console? The sale is gonna fail so much IMO.
