The toll system is whenever you pass the camera shoot you it will record... When the day you left SG you will need to pay it with your ez card... Make sure you have sufficient credit inside... If not you will get penalty...

semua bagi wrong info kat sini.... kalau tak tau, jangan la mislead orang.
kalau nak bawa Msia car masuk SG, masuk saja macam biasa. 1st clearance is immigration clearance (aka chop passport). after you chop your passport, proceed to the LTA lane to purchase a Autopass. The LTA office is located after your immigration clearance and before the customs clearance. Autopass is a card that carry your car's registration plate, or you can call it your car's IC when it is in SG. It also serve as your Cash Card (we call it Touch N Go, they call it Cash Card) to pay your entry for car park, toll, etc etc. The card is $10 when you purchase it. It contain $4 value in it. (I wonder which fellow actually said 60 just now 1 more thing, EZlink card is the card you use to take MRT. Autopass cannot serve as a EZlink card. EZLink card cannot serve as a autopass as well. Please dont get confuse by this. |

SO AUTOPASS is similar to touch and go in msia. Foreign cars will get 10 days free VEP. actually, if you don't go in and out Singapore often, you don't need to worry about that. Just a brief info about what VEP is. VEP (Vehicle Entry Permit). -VEP is a way that Singapore gov control the traffic in Singapore to prevent Malaysian working in Singapore drive their car into SG in and out daily. -VEP is only charged on the following hours. 2am-5pm, Monday-Friday. -If you enter Singapore on saturday or friday night, no VEP will be charge. Sat and Sun afternoon is VEP free as well (they want us to spend money there also ma). -so lets put it this way, because u got 10 free VEP days, if u continuously stay in SG for 2 weeks, u won't be charged for it. -but if you exceeded the free VEP days, nothing wrong with that, SG gov still allows you to enter SG with ur car. Just need to pay $20 per day if u enter during the VEP period. Toll charges at the Causeway. If you are entering with Woodlands Causeway, upon entering to Singapore, you don't need to pay anything, (just remember to purchase the Autopass, then its ok). But when you depart from Woodlands, You will be charged $1.20 (Singapore toll) and RM2.90 (Malaysia Toll). Payment can only me made with your autopass, make sure you have sufficient money in the card when you leave. Malaysia Side the toll is only payable with Touch N Go. If you plan to enter with 2nd link, Toll is RM7.50 Malaysia Side and $3.20 Singapore side. Singapore side will only charge you when you leave the country. So if your card got no $$, you can enter, but you can't exit if you got no $$ in the card. If you got no $$ in the card, you will need to proceed to the LTA office and pay them the $3.20 in cash + a $10 admin fees. |

in near future my work would require driving car into Singapore once a month, company advise to drive into singapore daytime and stay at JB hotel at night. The next day drive back to singapore again
1) The free VEP 10 days. Once use up, we have to start paying $20 per day? Or they will gave you 10 days VEP free each month? 2) Do hotel in Singapore provide free parking? If need to pay, normally 10hrs charge how much? 3) A noob question, do we need international driving license to drive into Singapore? Or our Malaysian driving license will do? Wondering whether SGD 150 can get a decent hotel or not... far a bit also nevermind since got car. |

If its multi storey parking you have to pay use your autopass. Normally residential area use the parking coupon. 3)Don't need all. Your malaysia license is good and about the hotel i'm not sure never stayed in SG always come back to JB. |

Would anyone correct this? "for working permit holder which would like to drive malaysia car to singapore"
1. Free VEP 10 days ( i got 1 fact from my fren which drive in and 1 fact from LTA, which is true??) - my fren drive in SIngapore and park his car for few days almost every month. He told me every car entitle for this VEP 10 days free yearly but not sure how they calculate this 10 days VEP free, as in after 12 months only u entitle 10 days free or every new year u are entitle for 10 free VEP days. -i have called LTA personally and LTA inform me that if u are a work permit holder, there is no 10 days free VEP. VEP 10 days free is only available for tourist not workers. 2. $20 for VEP a days only applicable for 18 hours?? - I did the same thing as above, called LTA SG but they tell me that even if u pay $20 for VEP, as a work permit holder you could only drive in for 18 hours per day. Can any work permit holder here correct me and provide me a correct answer?? |

QUOTE(Saton666 @ Jan 16 2012, 08:58 PM) in near future my work would require driving car into Singapore once a month, company advise to drive into singapore daytime and stay at JB hotel at night. The next day drive back to singapore again Alamak, how come nobody mentioned to bring a GPS or at least a map.....haha1) The free VEP 10 days. First time drive to Singapore already so gungho and know the road how to go???? Never mind lar, hotel with SGD 150 is ok lar...but you got to check whether got room available or not...many times, hotels are fully booked in singapore.... I suggest park the car at JB lar, and take taxi in lar as it is only once a month mah..... |

abang, pergi kaunter tanyalah abang. orang singapork taula nak explainkan. kalau gigil sangat, bring with you your car registration permit, but all they want to know is just your car registration number. same rules everywhere, they also drive like shyt, but still, you're in other country, unless you;re some big shyt, dont drive like when youre in Malaysia.

When you reached Woodlands checkpoint, the customs officer over there who checks your passport will ask you to wind down your car mirror. This is just for identification purposes. If you are unlucky, you will be asked to pull over and let them examine your boot to see if you are carrying any explosives/dangerous objects. Generally, the officers at Woodlands checkpoint are friendly if you cooperate with them. Anyway, they are just doing their job...so no point causing a fuss or anything. Yes i know i have to wind down the window and i dont mind even if they ask me to stop to examine my boot too because i wouldn't bring any weapon or anythig dangerous. I'm just afraid that they wouldn't let me pass through because my car's plate number is too small and my windows tint is too dark. I just drove all the way Penang to Singapore last 3 weeks.
You need autopass as /k mentioend and remember that card is not transferable... THAT CARD STICK WITH YOUR CAR PLATE! don't pandai pandai next time drive another car go. You need a lot parking coupon, it can get it on 7-11. $10 per book. I still got more left. Remember reload your autopass. EPR 1 day is $5 for for malaysia car. No matter how many time u pass ERP. Also remember that stupid autopass won't allow u park inside mall/universal studio/ etc. Please get cashcard too... The !@#$%^& din told me, waste my time stuck on the parking zone. Lucky my GF sis staying SG or else gonna F^&ked for me. Remember fill up the card before pass the kastam. Remember don't bring weapon, or any ilegal inside your car. |

Hi. All I need some urgent advice. Just came back from my first drive to Singapore yesterday and forgot to tap the Autopass at exit. Also the immigration officer did not advise me and opened the barrier so I drove to the JB side, using the touch n go at that toll. I was in Singapore for just 5 days. From what I understand the ERP should be free, but. Should have paid $1.20 at the toll. So now how? Will I have any problem when I drive for another visit later this year?

Hi all,
I'm planning to have 1 day trip (enter Saturday morning, leave Sat night) to uss singapore soon and thought its better I ask here to get more info. My method of travel is by car and enter via tuas checkpoint @ around 6am. 1)VEP - not applicable since I enter on Saturday. Correct? 2)Autopass - 10SGD. $4 preloaded. If I topup say 30$ and just used $x, can I get refund for the balance? 3)ERP fixed rate at $5/day. This one need to pay when buy autopass or when we wanna leave singapore? Does ERP operational on Saturday? 4)For the link kedua, do I have to pay both sides when enter and exit? Meaning if I enter from M'sia to Spore, I have to pay at both toll booth and vice versa. 5)Where do I park my car around sentosa? What/which car park are the most economical? Can share any good tips in getting to uss? Help is much appreciated. Many thanks |

Greetings everybody,
I have something to ask related to this thread,im going to Singapore to pay my relatives a visit, and I'm in hope that this thread is still active. 1)I'm 17 and two months ago i just got my probationary driving licence(the lesen P).I heard only 18 years above can drive in Singapore. Is it true? Can I,as a foreigner, still drive in Singapore? 2)Will they allow me to enter Singapore? I'm really scared that they'll say like this,"you and your licence are too young to enter Singapore.Come back when you're 18.Tata."Will something like this happen? Really really looking forward to all of your replies ladies and gentlemen. |

Pandai nyakalau nak bawa Msia car masuk SG, masuk saja macam biasa. QUOTE(iLaughUdie @ May 19 2014, 05:04 PM) Hi guys, would like to ask something about the autopass. i just came back from Singapore recently. it was my first time driving into Singapore, thus had to purchase the Autopass CEPAS . i understand from this thread that it costs $10 for the card ($4 credit and $6 non-refundable) However, during my visit they charged me $20 for the autopass card ($4credit and $16 idk what cost) can someone enlighten me on this?is this normal? ![]() |

I am plannig to drive my car (registered in W-Malaysian) to singapore for a weekend. Car is leased and car-owner says that it is OK to enter Singapore, but insurance valid only in Malaysia. He says also that you can buy short-term insurances at the border. Can someone advise? What do they cost? I only need 3 days insurance.

QUOTE(Naqiudin @ Apr 6 2013, 02:36 AM) Just came back from there last week with my family , ramai yang kena saman but no pay cuz when check at border the worker didn't ask for the autopass, so we just drive straight away hahaha same things happen to me few years back.but I am not driving my own car and the car was sold off shortly after the incident.. haha.. I don't even know the procedure to enter Singapore, very steady and drive pass all immigration one by one, then park one night at Singapore and drive back to jb without knowing the existence of autopass.
