QUOTE(rizvanrp @ Sep 8 2011, 01:14 AM) If you're in a high rise (serviced with VDSL2), you'll probably be patched over to the new MSANs sitting right in your building. That should provide improved DSL sync stability vs Streamyx.. but I've seen a few cases where even the copper wiring within the building is so crappy that Unifi loses DSL sync. It's different depending on your location.. you should ask your neighbours who have signed up for it regarding the stability of the service in your area. My FTTH port under TTDI is pretty awesome : wow 70days no change of IP address and no DC, thats awesome man

QUOTE(47ronin @ Sep 21 2011, 01:52 AM) with this constant speed between 550 - 580 (sometime jumped to 600+), 5 Gig file will be finished by 150 minutes. movie DL test :- [attachmentid=2445344] if I upgrade to 20 mbps, 5 gig file will be finished by 150 minutes/4 = 37.5 minutes; provided that same scenario as above. It also depends on the source u are downloading from. If the server is only hooked up to a 5mb connection then can't do much even being on vip20

QUOTE(Zi-Tech @ Sep 22 2011, 11:58 PM) but the figure can tell rite... let see, biz5 need plus rm 50, biz10 need to plus rm90 and biz20 need to plus rm110... if the quota imposed, and then lot of user change the package, wonder if one day biz package also have quota.... not fixed ip, the dynamic one..... for me just wait and see the speed after reach the quota.... if 20% from original, it ok for me.... dunno to others...if not time to take sacrifice something to get unlimited bandwidth..... All we can do is wait n see

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Sep 23 2011, 07:05 PM) I actually asked klseet on this. But microtik is a bit out of budget. I will be getting the tp-link 841nd very soon. Played with tp-link simulator. Can divide bandwidth but not dynamically. What i mean dynamically here is... 2 users connect, 5m/2 = 2.5m per person 5 usears connect = 1m per person. See how it goes xD When you want to divide bandwidth between 5 users, its actually quite complex already. Conventional home based router wont be able to do it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Sep 23 2011, 07:10 PM) not really... You can go find the tp-link simulator. It allows us to set bandwidth for each user, based on IP address assigned of course. built in the router firmware or there is a host pc controlling it ?

QUOTE(mazei @ Sep 24 2011, 03:01 PM) Can anyone help me? On my desktop, using a D-link DWA-110 adapter, I'm getting around 1-3 Mbps on speedtests while on my laptop with its adapter its getting 9-10 Mbps. I'm using VIP10 btw. So I'm left to wonder if its the adapter at fault but when I think about it, it shouldn't be so bad to the point of me just having 1-3 Mbps should it? And if it is the adapter being the problem, any recommendations on which USB adapter to get? Heard DWA-160 is something to look at. What is the signal strength you are connected at ? Lower signal strength gives you lower speed. Im on VIP20 and I was using DLINK DWA-110, I can get full speed, only ping use to be slightly higher. However, the signal strength was excellent. More input will help troubleshoot yr matter.
