for alignment, nothing beat the manual alignment. i've had posted in other tread about the
tires shop in balakong @ cheras batu 11 area. ah man tires with silverstone motorsport board located exactly
opposite the jusco cheras selatan. it may takes more than 1 hour but the result is good.
i used to send my sixers' touge ride for alignment. and the result never disappoint.
price vary from 3x to 1xx bucks.
other good alignment that i ever went to is kee hin in old klang road.
so far, the rest of the tires shop are more interested in milking' client's money. with unsatisfactory end result.

Outstanding rclxms.gif Where is Kee Hin located eh? I mean near where?

Sell savings or insurance. No I'm not kidding, it's good money with residual income and you make your own time. Plus you psychology lessons may come in handy.

I would have do it if I had any selling skills. Instead I'm here in front of the computer pushing buttons. unsure.gif

Read here:

http://paultan.org/2006/01/13/waja-campro-vs-waja-4g18/

The gist of it, Campro has lower torque at low RPM and the infamous torque dip between the 2k to 3k RPM range.

Unless you plan to rev to 3.5k rpm and above constantly (bye bye FC), 4G18 is more suitable for daily urban driving.

I think there are other problems as well, but I should probably let someone more knowledgeable to answer.

thanks for the link, yeah i'm considered an urban driver. 4g18 engine gt delay onot?

ps: u're knowledgeable enuf.
*
I'm not knowledgeable at all, just know a bit of this and a bit of that.

The delay associated with Campro may be due to the Electronic Throttle Control, which is not present in 4G18. But I have not have the (mis)fortune of driving a Campro vehicle so I dunno how bad the lag is and how different it is from 4G18.

Dear waja-rian,

I think I'm leaving this thread real soon as my dad wanted to sell away my car sad.gif . If he really sell away my car, I'll have to work then after few months, I'll need my brother to be my guarantor to get either another Waja or other korean car.

To all sifus,

Is 2nd hand korean car worth it?? Model such as avante accent?? If not worth it, please recommend me a car. Please no myvi or Saga FL/FLX
*
Stick around, I don't drive a Saga BLM or FL/FLX yet I always post at their thread tongue.gif

Then a 2nd hand satria neo h-line ?? Got people offer me Satria Neo H-Line RM 33,000. Done 55,000 KM only. Year 2008
*
That does sound like a good deal. Remember to do a thorough check of the car's condition, the maintenance record if you can and if the car have been in any accidents. Not to mention the JPJ blacklist.

Korean cars usually have notoriously expensive parts.

EDIT: Wait, don't the Neo also come with the Campro Engine? blink.gif

CPS only after early 2009.

And dude, as mentioned by several people in another thread, avoid loaning up to 9 years, especially for a used car.

RM 33k With a 5 year loan and 10% D/P, you can still pay less than RM 600 in monthly installment.

From what you described, sounds about right, slightly cheaper actually. Bought my 2001 for 23k, spent a couple more grand to replace parts.

If it's someone you know, try to get maintenance record.

Good for you. Nothing beats owning that you paid for by yourself (Even if just partially la)

Keep the Waja and take care of it.

Will a lot of part have to changed?

ok2, noted..thanks  smile.gif
*
Well like I said, if you can get the maintenance record then you know what's been changed and what's not.

I change the timing belt, two pair of tulangs in the rear wheel, door handles, carpet, handbrake lever, belt buckle etc. Things like the timing belt are essential so I don't wanna risk having a worn belt in the car, others are more for aesthetics and comfort.

If the car never changed the fuel pump or fuel pump relay, I suggest that you change it. Both should be no more than RM600-RM700. That is one of Waja's most notorious component.

Oh I also got the dealer to change the engine oil before delivering the car.

must seek a good mechanic rite?

A good mechanic is a must. I'm still looking for one...If you found one in KL or Cheras, let me know! biggrin.gif

Good thing is, you know the seller. If anything go wrong....go burn down his house thumbup.gif

EDIT: Just in case you misunderstood my previous post, most of the things that were change was preventative measure, not because they broke down.....well except the fuel pump relay that broke on the highway vmad.gif

how is waja's ride?
gud handling?
power wise?

never tested it.. tongue.gif

p/s: walaowei..leh broke lak kat highway... shocking.gif
*
No idea how good is Waja's handling / ride. Compare to my sis's Vios, my Waja's suspension feels hard, but more stable. On Connaught highway, the Vios tend to wobble at high speed, the steering is all over the place. My Waja steering is stiffer, but at least is stays still, no need to constantly adjust. Power....reasonable I guess. Wait til I save money to reflash ECU then I'll tell you again rclxms.gif

I don't corner at high speed, so I'm not the best person to ask blush.gif

put some cinnamon powder or pepper at the place the ants make nest. It will repel them away.

Now dunno where they're nesting. Under afternoon sun they hid in the car, in the evening all crawl out and have party on the roof and bonnet.

Gonna visit the car wash tomorrow. doh.gif

Thanks for the suggestions. Washed my car yesterday, so far so good, though I'm not convinced they are completely gone. Luckily they have stayed out of the interior, so they don't bother me when I'm driving.

Too busy to bother this few days, well check again later.
