Saw your A4 paper listing.. Need to change around the same as yours... Maintenance is killing for my 350000km car...

6 years old tyre? Wow... mine 9 months once, 11 months skidding on rain...

You should have opted for Thundergod's ECU flashing... Speed cut will be removed around that speed.

Then that day it shouldn't be 190 anymore...  brows.gif
*
wow 350000km? damn your car is well used dude! shocking.gif

yeah 6 year old tyre. This is what happens when the previous owner rarely uses the car and just leaves it at home most of the time. doh.gif Though its 6 years old, the threads i'm guessing is still around 30~40% sweat.gif

ecu flashing too expensive la weyh and i saw the charts the gain isn't really that much(4~hp?). Gonna get my ecu updated soon though, the morning sickness bug is killing me especially with my autostart alarm installed. sometimes the alarm have to attempt startup 3 times for it to startup properly through the remote from a cold start doh.gif

ok it's been a long journey for my waja... 365k++ distance, and multiple stuffs haz changed >.<

now my waja has given me multiple items.. that i'm a little worried that it may cost a bomb..

1. Idling problem >.< when start up, rev go up 1.2k-> 1.3k, then cool down till below 500, and then Grr Grr Grr, Engine died. then need start again. 2nd time confirm ok. What problem could it be? Starter Just Changed... >.<

2. This morning worse, cannot start the engine... When turn the start key, it just have one sound "Tak", and then with the Hizzing sound... or some eletrical sound that i haz no idea what is that sad.gif

feel's like there's a big bomb dropping to my door this time >.<

EDITED: Just read on Idling... Oh mai.. need Flash ECU.. NuuU!!! Checks paydate... 7.9.11.. Far far away still sad.gif
*
just solved mine yesterday! got elton to just update the rom, instead of flashing the killer rom. you can pm the fella see how much he's charging but its a hell lot cheaper than the killer rom flash LOL laugh.gif

today wake up first thing i do is go to my car and try autostart. it started smoothly after one start thumbup.gif

tried 0-100 and managed to clock best 10.5s with alot of wheelspin on 1st gear launching at 2k rpm. i think can reach below 10 if i had better rubbers fitted on my front tyre hmm.gif

btw, so how you know it can be fixed with a simple firmware patch?

The part time alarm installer guy solved your problem with autostart?
How about his after stop engine "krak krak krak" sound? I'm having the same issue.
Throttle body is the problem?

Btw how's the firing order of the spark plug? 3rd spark plug cable keep on popping out. Auto car die on red light + junctions + corners then COW power to turn the steering... "P" Sticker din pull out kena honk like mad.  rclxub.gif
*
solved my problem? nothing wrong with my autostart also. last time it was the engine remote cut-off and the immobiliser that got problem lol. but i still need to go back soon, the shock sensor is supposed to be 2-staged but its not, and my demister stopped working after changing my alarm. suspect the wiring kinda got screwed when he installed the boot sensor doh.gif

anyway, new addition to ma' ride laugh.gif

btw today encountered something weird....

while driving through the 2 lane right curve joining to federal from subang ss19 behind Empire shopping gallery there, suddenly a bloody monkey crossed the road while on my left was a lorry. doh.gif Immedietly turned the steering left a little trying to avoid it but can't do much since theres a lorry there, then quickly steered back and it felt as if i ran over the monkey coz it looks as if it went under my car, but after i reached my destination, a quick check at my bumper and under the bumper, there weren't any marks rclxub.gif

so now i'm asking for advices...Is the grounding necessary? hmm.gif  and what engine oil you guys recommend? my car is going about 320k+ ady...engine coolant necessary or rather just water? icon_question.gif

Thanks in advance first tongue.gif and am a student, so budget abit tight shakehead.gif

and the TT is super near....my exam hall is just around the corner(Bukit Jalil) rclxms.gif

To all the sifus, I  notworthy.gif after reading the advices though i only understand maybe 10-20% of it rclxub.gif

everything is so expensive. the workshop made more than 500 bucks of net profit.
also, you should only change the cooling coil if it the fin had at least 10% damaged.
few example; engine mounting x4 complete is only around 250 bucks. front and rear only cost less than 100.
original bosch front rotor less than 200.
steering bush x2 around 35. all original proton.
*
you serious? you say its rm500 net profit, you mean if i go to a more honest workshop it'll be rm500 cheaper on the overall bill? or you're saying they're earnings are rm500? rclxub.gif

guess i'm not going back there anymore. Its QuickSave in USJ7 if not mistaken. Both my brothers and my mom send their cars there. sleep.gif

the fin i see quite damaged up already. and the valve got screwed up coz the previous person who fixed it screwed up the threads on the valve body, drill a bigger hole, and replace the allen bolt with a phillips screw and a nut and when my technician wants to remove it, he had to resort to a drill and in the end couldn't save it coz the screw got rusted and was pretty much stuck in the valve.

QUOTE(mxsteven @ Sep 21 2011, 08:11 AM)
Wah quite expensive.... the GAS RM65?

The labour fee the fellar pandai play around... brake bleeding normally if u change rotor or whatsoever they will do it FOC... the AC labour also potong ur neck edi.... the cooling coil super expensive which u charge u denso price and still charge u labour...
*
haihz. kena potong damn big samore. took me around 5~10 minutes to haggle down rm14 from him. the ori bill came up rm2014. He don't wanna give way sial doh.gif

was supposed to get Denso at rm40 extra, but last minute he say Denso supplier habis, but say got this Patco which is the OEM for Denso(or so he says) but also comes with an official 1 year warranty with warranty card complete.

QUOTE(zaidi @ Sep 21 2011, 11:26 PM)
this is super cut throat. original proton timing belt with tensioner bearing around 130 only. steering rack bush Rm80 to fix include labour. add some more can get superpro bushings.

why you need to replace the rotor at 70k? mine over 280k still with original rotor.
*
timing belt with tensioner is that price, but includes labour? I see the dude trying to get access to my timing belt also headache liao rclxub.gif

steering bush rm80, i paid rm90 for mine include labour lol. whats the diff with that and superpro?

and about the rotors, no idea, but elton and a few mechs asked me to change it coz they said it was worn while one of them just asked me to skim coz the braking power was quite low if compared to my old kelisa sweat.gif I see the brake pads are also still the original with EonTech branding on the cover rclxub.gif

but honestly, after changing both rotors and brake pads, i don't feel ANY difference in braking power doh.gif

I think he meant Patco is OEM for Proton. I believe my Waja 1.8 renault has a patco system.
Hey need to ask you guys for opinion/info.
I asked an auto supplier shop in OUG for the engine mounting for my Waja 1.8 renault. He said, cheap is $210 one set.

Just now went to another mechanic (not my normal mechanic in Kuchai Lama), he said like this to replace the engine mountings:

Front $80
Rear $80
Left $110 (cheap - expensive $350)
Right $110 same
Plus labour around $80. So where talking about 380~460 to fix the engine mounting.

Would it be normal for there to be so much mark up from what the auto supplier quoted me for the engine mountings?

I noticed nightstalker's bill had front and rear engine mountings for $85 each. What did they say about the  left and right mountings?? Or do they not have any?
*
Yeah maybe that's what he meant lol. And my mounting I only changed the front and back which is both located on the bottom coz it both tore already lol. The left and right is on the upper part of the engine.

QUOTE(mxsteven @ Sep 22 2011, 02:13 PM)
pls call our Waja Lowyat member... OI622239OO Kelvin

Yeah and it looks quite easy to change the mounting yourself. Just that you need to jack up the car abit lol

how the hell you get 15km/l?

i get at best 10km/l with very light foot in city driving. Most of the time more or less 9km/l with alot of idling and occasional spirited driving rclxub.gif

yeap. my ride is giving me problem back then as i learned the ECU so slow learning about the new exhaust. after one month after the bad FC, my fc is going back to normal again. (It finally learned the change in exhaust system after i reset the ECU) or maybe my itchy right foot after the release of the few horses from the exhaust. LOL. but all become normal after the ECU reset (plug off battery for sum time)

btw the auto people are getting slightly lower figures than manual. its normal.

I hear that all the time, but I also hear that the ECU is constantly learning, so you don't have to reset it just change your driving style.

Which one is true??
How long? should change every 20k wey.

Added on September 28, 2011, 1:24 am

I tried that also, 70% of the time going just barely 2k rpm. In the end, didn't help much. Think it made it worse summore coz I think going too slow on straights not fuel efficient.

Unless you usually ride it 4k rpm and your definition of super "light-footed" is 3k  rclxms.gif
*
my definition of light-footed means rarely going above 2k, unless if i'm going above 80km/h la that is, which i rarely get the chance to laugh.gif while my definition for spirited driving is using a LOT of engine braking and revving all the way up to 7k at times flex.gif
