According to Symphony Share Registrar, the Rights Unit of AMFIRST will be shown as mothershare in the 2nd week of August.

You actually need to put additional notes together with RSF if you bought extra Rights units from the market.

I can confirm that I received it too. Unfortunately, as a CIMB iTrade user, it seems to me that they added the new shares at a cost of 0 (instead of RM0.83) and now it has completely messed up the average purchase price and consequently the unrealized profit/loss for my AMFIRST shares. My average purchase price of AMFIRST is now RM0.68, which is of course completely unrealistic.

Same here with Average buying price for Jupiter Securities portal didn't even change.

that's the beauty of REIT... price gain/loss is very little. This allows investors to invest at anytime, without much worry if this is the lowest or not.

er.. bro, the entry price / cost determines one's dividend yield % leh.
U really don't care much about entry price meh?  notworthy.gif
*
Waiting for entry price which is low enough... takes patience and loss of dividend accummulation, right ?
I just buy the REIT and keep to earn dividends... don't care about DY% (as it's just a number).
Money into my bank account is much better (i.e. passive)

But you utilize higher cost of entry...whereby the extra cost could actually be invested somewhere else
*
What if I don't have anywhere else to invest ? drool.gif drool.gif
I don't have millions to invest... thus 1-2 sen don't make much different.

QUOTE(Okina @ Aug 15 2012, 09:19 PM)
HEKTAR Rights issue has just been announced, RM1.25 per Rights unit.

If I want to buy the rights from the open market, does that mean I have to pay RM1.25 (assuming someone wants to let go at that price) to the seller and then pay RM1.25 again to the Registrar (to exercise the Right)?

I'm new to exercising rights issue. Sorry if the above question sounds stupid. Tried looking up the AMFIRST rights issue for any examples but couldn't find any and the Stock FAQ sticky did not go indepth.
*
QUOTE
Renounceable rights issue of 80,000,250 new units in Hektar Real Estate Investment Trust ("Hektar REIT") ("Rights Units") on the basis of one (1) Rights Unit for every four (4) existing units held in Hektar REIT as at 5.00 p.m. on 3 September 2012 ("Entitlement Date") at an issue price of RM1.23 per Rights Unit ("Rights Issue")

Eg. you owned 1000 shares of HEKTAR REIT(mother share). You will be given 250 shares of HEKTAR Rights.
To exercise your Rights, you need to pay RM1.23 x 250 = RM307.50 to the Share Registrar "Mega Corporate Services Sdn. Bhd."
After which, you will own 1250 shares of HEKTAR REIT (mother share)

HEKTAR needed additional funds to buy 2 new shopping malls, thus Rights Issue is the way to get more funds to invest.
