Get a cue, get an empty bottle ...

Place the bottle lying down with the opening facing u and you try "cue-ing" into the opening smile.gif

** For snooker cue i know can la... but pool cue.. maybe too fat for it.. lol

Ok this will sound very weird. Take a broomstick or any other stick that is not abrasive. Take a target (perhaps a mineral bottle) and aim with the stick. Just imagine that the bottle is the cue ball. Stroke a few times, aiming at the same spot. Try not to hit the bottle. This should help you aim straight. I used to do that few years back when I'm really into pool. Now I just play casual only...I'm not sure whether it will work for you but it did for me tongue.gif

aahh... that's an interesting idea. never thought of doing that. problem now would be finding a cue, maybe i'll just use a broom stick laugh.gif

for now i find that i have problems propelling force onto the ball. like even i hit damn hard, somehow the cue ball still not as fast and strong as i hoped. any advise on that?

It could be because your not hitting the cue ball at the spot you wanted it to. That's why you have to practise hitting and aiming straight laugh.gif

Oh I forgot, you should know how to "transfer your weight to the ball". I'm sure you know momentum right? momentum = mv. Just say the speed is constant, in order to hit harder, you should like bring your body towards the table when in motion to strike the cue ball. This generally applies when you're about to break. This is pretty much advanced stuff which I myself can't do it properly. The best thing for now is aim properly. If you improve on that you will see that your game will improve tremendously tongue.gif

i think you're right man. somehow my aim will just go senget. i really need to find a nice stick and empty mineral water bottle and practise till my parents think i've lost a few screws up the head laugh.gif

oh, i didn't know that. the concept is like how footballers run before taking a free kick? laugh.gif i can't even break properly for now. i hit the ball just too soft doh.gif

Yeah kinda like that concept. Oh yeah...follow through after every shot you make. That should increase the speed.

BTW, where you play pool in Ipoh? Everytime I balik kampung I can't find any proper place to play. All I see is snooker places only sad.gif

there's this new place which just opened up. you know behind jusco there where all the night clubs and cybercafes are? the place is called seven's club. it's on the same row of shoplots as the infinity cybercafe or rather it's next to the nasmir. it's a shop you have to go upstairs one.

not bad la the rates. rm10 per hour. can also play foosball and snooker there. unfortunately there's only ONE pool table. so when you go pray that it's not occupied la laugh.gif
